If the Toronto circumstances are as dire as they are rumoured to be, then Sendhimoffref's solution is an obvious and easily achievable solution.

It is only where Donnyman posts some unbelievable stuff, which no one else has any knowledge of,where there is a polite request for some evidence.
It seems some overseas based Toronto players have quite understandably returned to their overseas homes, as they do not have the required visas to be remain in the UK,for the period of the Super League fixtures.
It also seems Vickers is no longer a director of the UK side of the operation - despite the recent link with the government, involving trade.
It's dated today with Companies House - which seems a strange one:but it is what it is.

| Strange that Super League clubs are offering players for loan deals, then.
Beats me.Broadcast deal could be in trouble if fixtures cannot be fulfilled.
Not a good time for Super League clubs,it seems.

I know, surely Toronto (if players are paid whatever they are owed) would like to finish the season, even if it mean replacing the one's with visa problems, and bring in in other teams squad players.

Who do you mean by "Toronto"?
Is this David Argyle who doesn't want to pay any money in anymore?
Is this the skeleton staff who would prefer to go find a new job elsewhere ASAP now they are losing theirs??
Is it the players who:
a. Are going home in the next few days or....
b. Are not going home but want a new club ASAP so they can be paid or.....
c. Are not prepared to play at short notice without having trained and conditioned as they risk serious injury.
It looks to me like "Toronto" may be a hastily gathered together by a very red faced Brian McDermott recruited (to save his own face) team of Championship lads who will put the shirt on to make a few quid "in these troubled times"
I thought Crusaders were bad enough back in 2011 but they actually fulfilled their fixtures and beat Salford twice, Wakefield twice and Huddersfield. Tell me - do you still put the boots on Mr. B - ring Brian for a game?
"Expansion" eh?

Last TotalRL collapse...
sorry RL club collapse
, was I think Streatham & Mitcham who went 26 games before collapsing in the 1930's.
That the TWP fixtures have to be played out even by a cast of actors, appears to be a SKY requirement as they appear not to want to be connected to such a debacle as a mid season exit stage left.
And here we are back to the SKY contract 2022. Set to be an all English league given that there can be no guarantee Gausch may not be the next to walk away.... The "evidence please" is circumstantial

If it is a team made up of TWPs remnants bolstered by Championship players as rumours suggest then even Rovers shouldn't be able to mess that up?
First couple of games they could be dangerous though fuelled by pride and against the odds mentality sometimes seen in sport?
After standing feeling fairly secure on 78 minutes of the MPG i never doubt my teams capacity to fluff their lines. .

| Quote ="Donnyman"Its a lot more than "rumours" mate, it's full on journalists reporting real events. There's to be no P & R and the £500K parachute payment is going to assist the Championship. If TWP come bottom they aren't going to be given £500K and nor are Rovers. Your two "If's are with respect not quite right, it's impossible for TWP to collapse in a financial heap or be over reliant on a benefactor.....
Their owner is a $Billionaire and so is worth at least 100 $Million if not multiples of that with more money flowing in from his Mining interests. Argyle is around 58 years old so he can fund TWP for the rest of his life easily. The problem is he and his phoney club isn't wanted and he knows that so he's been looking to buy into Melbourne - a far bigger money eating machine than TWP.
One of the needs for SL to act is Neil Hudgell. He and Crossland fund HKR and they aren't 100% committed - shown by them trying to sell the club to Tony Larvin some years back. Hudgell was furious when the crazy league system he and a number of SL bosses never wanted relegated them when they didn't come bottom and the SL clubs knew this an even looked at going to a 13 club Superleague to keep them in. That didn't work.
But they aren't going down this season, so they can maybe relax in one sense, but in another sense it would be embarrasing if they didn't finish above Toronto who are playing out their days....'"
With all his countless wealth why has TWP asked SL for a 200K loan, like loose change to Mr Argyle, is he getting fed up?

It's the UK banking systems fault. This has been rumbling on from the start and got swept under carpet during the Caton Brown 10k fiasco. Credit to JD for sticking to his guns and reporting on the facts.

I mean imagine being in any other profession or industry and saying you didn't want new colleagues from thousands of miles away / another country joining your organisation. 'Yes, why do we let these Drs and nurses from thousands of miles away (who are now having visa problems) work for the NHS'.
You would almost certainly end up on some equality and diversity refresher training and worst case scenario you would be out the door shortly after you had finished the sentence.'"
How is this racist it has nothing to do with colour or creed it is all to do with rules of the competition which Toronto signed up to when they joined the league. It is Toronto's responsibility to arrange Visa's for their players not the RFL's.

Hi Harry,
Earlier in this thread I posted a link to the Sydney Morning Herald from February? It reported that David Argylle was offering to buy into Melbourne Storm as the owner was seeking investment partners. Your astute enough to understand none of the Superleague bosses ever wanted TWP. They let them in on a deal with Rimmer who agreed to the dumping of the middle eights and £Million pound game as long as SL did not block promotion.
TWP's reception since they joined was icy to say the least and their start put paid to the nonsense about how glamorous they were. The crowd at the Headingley Triple opener were most unimpressed.
So put simply Argyle knows when he is not wanted, and he isn't, and he now has an exit strategy to get on the Melbourne board. Therefore he's stopped bankrolling TWP which was an easy thing to do. They "only" cost him about $5M a year and as he is a $$billionaire mining magnate so that was loose change to him. Maybe he thinks pulling back is a nice piece of revenge.
Total RL/League express & Rugby Leaguer won't tell you any of this as they were so sure that North America was the future. Today's edition doesn't editorially cover the real facts as to TWP but they have allowed Gary Schofield to tell some home truths,
But the bottom line is Argyle has stopped bankrolling them. His dream of an NRL club that he always wanted has taken him away.......
And as you know TWP are NOTHING without Argyle

Hi Derwent,
This was very likely as per the following from a player last week or so
[i“Enough’s enough,” “I can’t remember the last time we got paid (by TWP) on time. We haven’t been paid for the last month. The thing is the stress that it puts on the team and people in that organisation is madness. “They don’t give a ****. There’s a lot of people owed money. It’s just a disaster. I don’t think people understand the mental stress it puts on people. Some of the players with kids, mortgages, bills – I’m worried. It’s crazy.“We get told the money will be a week late. And then the week comes and no money, and then the next week and the next week. What gets us is we get told on the night the money’s coming and then it just doesn’t come.
“We’re not doing anything until we get paid,” he admitted. “We’ve had 16 weeks off and the competition starts in two weeks, what do they expect us to have one week of training? Can you imagine the injuries? It would be catastrophic.”“The stress that some people are under right now is crazy.“You’re only getting 50 per cent of your wage, in these circumstances that’s fair enough, you’ll cop that. But when you’re owed two months wages as well that’s a lot of ******* stress on you.“I’m just trying to get through it day by day.”[/i
They aren't going to be the fall guys. RFL & SL need to take the whole thing on the chin it's both their faults.....
