Either way , this will hit the Championships again , we have lost our ' biggest club ' and we might get the Crusaders in return , or maybe not , so that will make Leigh,Fax,Fev and Barrow with any kind of draw in the Championship ,

Leigh currently don't have an owner and today's decision won't help much to get one

Fax will be hit badly by this crowd wise I feel

Fev are struggling to bring in the fans at the moment due to a bit of trouble

Barrow are on a downward slide right now

At this moment we have 9 teams in the Championship for next year , that's 8 home games

We are 5 weeks from the end of the season and we don't know if anybody is being relegated or promoted or what the make up of the Championships will be next year , basically it is a shambles

Honestly i dont see there been anything to regret. This was our best chance of ever returning to SL, its not like any team in SL will be in a worse position in 3 years time is it? Add to that they will probably be wanting to try the Crusaders experiment once again and the dream really is over for Championship clubs as there is no chance of the league been expanded and no doubt criteria for entry will be set at a higher level than it is this time which will simply be unreachable for any team outside the top flight which isnt an expansion club.

Off to watch my team die a slow death.

And best of all , they weaken the Championship while they are doing it as well , at least we had a like for like swap with Widnes , Wakey

The larger problem was the RFL ignoring warnings about Samuels right at the outset. The move to Wrexham failed to deal with the legacy of that original mistake.

On the basis of those lines, it's pretty clear Fax were not a team to bring into SL.

Maybe they should have asked Alan Rowley ? Or me even , because unless you were blind or completely stupid , the signs were there , the fact the local population hated him with a passion was one of them

Ill say again, this should not be about Wakey or Fax, this process is fundamentally flawed and an insult to Sport.
Ralph Rimmer, Richard Lewis and Nigel Wood do not possess the qualifications or inteligence to govern our Sport.
The sooner they sod off the better, I will add that as a Fax fan today im not surprised, nothing the RFL does surprises me.
But, the rest of RL should be concerned that everyone has wasted so much time and effort for nothing, not to mention the time and effort that has been spent on pipe dreams promoted by spin drs and marketing men. Its about time some of the SL chairmen grew a spine and stood up for the whole of RL and not just their own BSkyB cash cow.

They were warned, on more than one occasion. They either didn't believe those warnings or chose to ignore them. Pretty much everything that followed fell out from that decision.

It's not entirely hindsight. I can recall rumblings about Samuels at the time that Crusaders were admitted to SL. Of course hindsight certainly brings them into sharper focus and I'm certainly not claiming to have predicted the way things would go.

can i just put all this confusion to bed, it wasn't between Wakefield and Halifax, believe it or not Wakefields application was the best of the Grade C licences, it was between Fax and 2 others(not naming names to avoid another bickering thread)
