Ah right so there is literally no point in lying about the gate, and makes them significantly worse off in terms of credibility within the rugby league community. Can't have lied then could they?

So how do you measure success-Would you say Clubb, LMS Eng, Jamie O'C Ireland, plus 10 + locals in the first team squad could be classed as success, or a 50 point beating handed to Widnes B yesterday or is there something else-maybe its the crowd thats the measure'"
Personaly i would judge success on the strengh of all areas of the club, How are the first team doing, What are the crowds like, How is the commercial side of the club. Is the business growing and and becoming more professional. How is the academy doing. And when you look at the Quins they are not doing all that well. The things they are doing well are being over shadowed by the things they are doing shockingly bad.
And the Quins - Widnes Friendly was a shock to no one. We have a Budget thats a fraction of yours and with that we have to run a First team, And academy teams at all ages and levels. And we are doing it well, With only a population of 66,000 or so people to pick from we are still a club teeming with home grown players. I fail to see the point of your last remark.
One minute people try to distance the club from the 7.7 Million target audience for crowds but are happy to claim them as locals when they get into the team.

No there is no point in lying about attendance figures from a financial perspective, Most clubs forums will have these discussions from time to time. The only important thing is declared income.
I would take it that the quins crowd is correct untill officialy declared wrong.

Sorry I didn't explain myself very well there. They say its awkward to get to using the Tube. I don't doubt that the RU team can pull folk in for their home matches, but the anecdotes I've heard seem to suggest that folk from around London might not go because of where Twickers is.

| There was never only 1.7k there today, I'd have put it closer to 3.0k. I don't know who came up with the figure, but I'd take a guess they never got their maths GCSE. Worse still they gave every inbred, six-fingered, flatcapper, whippet-racing, coal in the bath, nutter resident on these boards an opportunity to dribble over their keyboards (not that they need much opportunity).

It would make sense for them to declare a higher figure though, just not a lower. So as you say, we must take it as correct.

You are a moron.
Firstly Why would the club Lie?
Secondly why would they Need a GCSE in maths when some form of computing course would be more appropriate given how modern day turnstyles count spectators... Or at least thats how we do it up here where we keep our Whippets in the bath and take our coal for walks Or some other such Condescending moronic Generalisation.
It was a crap attendance, Its no ones Fault but Quins. So stop having a hissy fit and accept that.

| Just like the posters on here, who actually went to the game today, there was NEVER 1,766 there today. It was about 3,250-3500. I have no idea why the club have announced that figure, however it doesn't do us any favours towards our licence application. Saying that, there were a few figures that were quoted grossly under the real figure last year, so I think the club may be doing it for tax reasons.

Not me......I believe that the club have to attract fans from all over London and the south East and as for players being "claimed" as locals....without the club it's fair to say these lads wouldn't be playing League. Remember, these guys coming through now were all in Primary school when SL started........and the likes of LMS are just the tip of the iceberg.

| Just out of curiosity does anybody know what the lowest recorded attendance for a Super League game actually is?
I really do hope things take off for them down there - I can't see them not being awarded a new SL license and I do think a London team is great for the game so hopefully the fans down there can get behind them and get numbers into the stadium

You have to admit that both sides of the coin are used quite often , I'm sure their SL licence application won't have the population of Richmond as potential fan base

Im not bitter about anything, if indeed you are refering to me.
I have no problem with The quins or the sport in London, I just wish they were doing a better job of it. Great things are happening in the amature game down there but it needs backing up by a strong Pro side or two. I was at the skolars a couple of weeks ago and had a great time.
And we wont need anyone to prop our attendances up, As a club ( if not as supporters sometimes ) we are not interested in what others are doing but are spending all our time and efforts making the club as strong as ever. Which can be seen by increased season ticket sales ( if only slightly ) and a great youth set up not only for our level, but for the highest level in the European game.
I support expansion and always have, The only real complaint i have against the Licensing process and the game atm is that it lacks transparency in many ways.
If you were not refering to me then i appologise, The above can be ignored.

It's not. It's just a line spouted by lazy aussies and northerners who don't like travelling more than 10 mins for an away game. There are no other stadiums in London for us to use, the Stoop isn't the problem.
