| It's a shame this thread has been slightly de-railed.
It's clear to see that alot of clubs (both SL and NL1) have had great attendences in the past and should be congratualted. We (as in SLRL) can only dream of repeating them.
However, I am sure, all jokes aside, most clubs would agree that Hull KR always take a large away following. While this may form part of a 'cliche' or 'joke' for some on here it cannot be denied that we provide alot of extra income for clubs which can only be positive. (Infact, the Bradford chairman has recently commented on how much he appreciates our support).
I don't comment often on here, but I really hope my fellow HKR fans can refrain from 'taking the bait' (from many on here) and just continue to support HKR in the most vocal way possible.... i.e. on the terraces!!
We may not have the highest 'home support' average, but certainly we must be amongst the highest away support average. I just wish all clubs followed their team as passionately away from home.

Joking aside you certainly took a lot to Cas last year, certainly the 2nd best in the league behind Leeds. We also had a lot of fans at the NRC final in 05' if you can remember it.. i would say there were a lot of KR fans there too, cracking day out. For me Wigan,Saints,Warrington didn't bring a lot to Cas (you could mabye exclude Wigan from that though) for the size of their clubs. Wakie,Hull and Bradford brought a lot more than i would have expected. Expected a lot from KR from the games i've been to not related to Cas. Salford brought a pathetic following on Saturday and Quins and Cats were both expected because of how far away they are.

This silly stuff about Hull KR taking the most fans everywhere has to stop, ok their fans are really good and make lots of noise but they do not take the most everywhere.
We take the most to Catalans, Harlequins, Wire and Saints.
In previous season we have taken more than 5000 to both Leeds and Bradford.
Leeds support around Yorkshire is pretty good as well.
They need to get their home support sorted first before they can even begin to start thinking about trying to gloat about having the best away support, they are not even over 10,000 average, and yeh they might blame it on away support, but we dont get any either appart from wire and saints and maybe if they got some good facilities, more people would go.'"

Huge respect for Cas, one of my all-time fav SL teams and a genuine class about them (remember seeing one of your fans congratulate Leroy Rivett after the 2005 NRC Final, which sums up the decency of your support).
Hey, re that day, IIRC you had just over 6000 fans there. Do you realise that this means you were just as well supported at this as Hudds were at the CC Final the next year (as we were at the 2006 NL1 Final compared to them).

So far outr as to be unbelievable . We had well over 10,000 there.
But the problem with HKR is not the facy that they take so many fans away it is the quality of them. Bradford fans last week were complaining about the KHR fans who came for the first game of the season. Apoparently they were fighting amongst themselves, and they had to close some of the bars as well as the disabled toilets.
If Hkr could take away 2,500 fans to every game but leave the 250 idiots at home that might be better.
additionally if HKR fans stopped carping about their support vis a vis other teams they may get a bit of respect particularly as they only tend to have short term memories
Unfortunatley LF may have a point about the evolutionary ladder.

| The truth is, I would say Rovers took between 2000 - 3000 to Odsal, not that it really matters, some teams travel better than others. I think the Bradford Chairman had it about right at 2500.
As much as Rovers fans exaggerate the figures to be more positive, the same could be said about some of the 'incidents' at away games that are reported on these forums.
The incident at Odsal first broke on the forums as "Rovers fans have smashed up a bar at the ground and a number of those involved were removed from the ground".
Turns out the truth was, and still out of order, that when the staff attempted to close the bar someone threw a plastic pint pot and a plastic bottle and sounded off some abuse.
To suggest that Rovers have a 250 strong mob intent on causing trouble at games is way off the mark. Here's the boring bit but every club has idiots, the bigger away following then I guess it is reasonable to think more 'idiots' will attach themselves to the support, but 250?

Wembley's capacity was around 100000, and I don't imagine that FC took only around 10000.

How is the Huddersfield crowd that day worked out? Tickets actually sold by the club? People in Huddersfield colours? People who travelled from Huddersfield? A count of the people who cheered the first try?
