Hull look a darn site better on paper than we do and it will take a monumental effort from us tommorow as i feel they will be too strong , too quick and too skillfull , yes we will be better than last year but still not a top 4 side . Those positions will be filled by Saints , Hull , Wire and Wigan probably in that order

Agar might not be a truly great coach but is a steady Eddie and we need that for the next year or two. Radford has had plenty of chances and plenty of money to throw around for a number of years now and as got nowhere near a grand final winning side, anything less than top 3 and a grand final or challenge cup and he will be gone for next year. Unlike Agar who will not be under the same pressure and will be safe for this year minimum, if and when a better option comes along he may get moved upstairs, but I suspect he will over see succession from within, Rob may have been the natural successor in a year or two, but Has a more important battle to worry about.

Agar won’t be gone no matter what. He will be back in his appointed position, once the other is qualified. This ruse I stated on here last June, when people were speculating on Furners replacement.

Ive read its Kevs long term view to have the head coach come from within but for me JJB needs to earn his stripes and manage his own team to gain experience and im sure Jamie would want to coach on his own terms not be managed by Agar and Kev?

Off field in regards to recruitment and forward planning No i agree. But watching the show on sky the other night he seemed to be well in control of the on field stuff.

Problem for Hulls try was that Handley was neither on top of Naulongo when he got the ball, or in the defensive line, so was caught in no mans land. Hurrell then showed his biggest weakness which is lateral movement. It was a good try.

Hull FC look too big in the pack for us. And have too much pace outside. Newman or Handley arent great on the wing. Sutcliffe very average at centre too. We look better than last year though but definitely look 2 or 3 good players short of top 5
