I like the home shirt, don't like Olive green and grey for away I'm sure a lot will though.

Think O'Neills have done a smart job compared to what ISC gave us this year.

Prefer the away shirt, although the colours lends itself to a generic casual top than a sports club replica.

That Wire away shirt is smart . Different and it works , will look nice as a casual shirt to wear .

Anyone not sporting a 6 pack (like most of us over 50 who instead sport a firkin) are going to make that Wire shirt look very odd......

As a fan my only interest in replicas shirts is whether they will sell nor that I ever buy one. So I base my opinions on whether if I were forced to wear one I’d be ok with it.

Yet another trinity kit I’d be OK with. After 20 years in SL probably the only thing we have got consistently right is the shirt with just a couple of exceptions.

Wigan have been the exact opposite. Still rather be Wigan though

I've taken the time to tidy up the Halifax Away shirt for them and get rid of the horrible bit white box they plonked on the front of the shirt. Unfortunately for fans they will be stuck with the less tidy version provided by the club!

I was unable to get rid of the empty wheelchair they decided to place next to QLT so have just filled that for them too. Maybe it is a standard issue piece of equipment now for the older players in the squad?

Got to say, for me the winners are Wakey home and Widnes away

Three pretty poor away kits there from Wire, Wakey and ‘Fax. In terms of away shirts Hull are winning by a mile so far.

Other than the badge, how does this relate to Wakefield?

I quite like that Widnes shirt. Not a fan of the Wakey away strip, awful colour scheme.

Wakefield hospice. Had a similar kit a few years back were a certain amount of profit went to the charity.

A better picture of it below and although I didn't like it at all from that initial picture, it looks better in the flesh and also the training gear that goes with it, hoodies, T-shirts etc look very nice tbf. You can also see from the Wakefield Hospice badge above ours where the colour comes from.

I think that’s a big part of the reason clubs throw around different colour schemes every few years for their away shirt because of all the other clothing they can sell to match. From some fans their’s only so much you can buy in the same colours year upon year. Although many mocked Leeds going for pink for a few years they did seem to sell quite well in all types of clothing merchandise and especially and unsurprisingly with females.

Think the biggest problem with that Wakey shirt is trying to fit 4 colours in, always going to be tough to come up with something good including that many colours (without having one just for small trim on collars and sleeves)

Agree with that especially the highlighted part- there's more nowadays to the clubs revenue than just the shirts, the other merchandise is a big earner and like you say other colours lend themselves to the obvious in our case, red white and blue and a change to many people can be quite refreshing.
Slightly O/T but an example below where I think the colours work is with this hoodie worn by the prodigal son.

The shirt behind Brough does actually look a bit better. Still think the point about too many colours stands and swap the white for more grey/silver.

Maybe what the shirt really shows is not to use Danny Kirmond as a model

As someone who doesn't normally buy merchandise, and regards O'Neill's as a GAA specialist but cheap tat aside from that, I am absolutely stunned to find them the best thing to happen to Wires merch in years. I was in our club shop today and was impressed by quite a bit of it. Some rubbish inevitably, but the retro Vladivar shirt is great, training shorts are decent and some of the olive stuff is okay. Overall it's miles better than anything ISC ever released.

Even Danny's had a good laugh at that picture on Twitter.

Last season we used that same green but with just a dark blue which I think worked better but ateotd as with a lot of shirts, some will like it and others not.
