I do agree that we should expand nearer to home, in a stepping stone fashion, and that Wrexham is an ideal place to start.

Widnes didn’t actually plan in advance to go into administration and didn’t have the luxury of being able to set up another company in order to keep all their employees and have their wages paid for by the RFL.

Or were able to get advancements on SKY payments to keep staff on, which is the only reason Cru unlike Widnes have kept players. Now that's fine BUT that hole now needs filling as it did from last year... So they need to budget for that too again!

No. The clubs’ first intention was to gain re-entry into Super League and use that money to pay of it’s debts, rather than just say sod the creditors and put the club into administration. Losing that Grand Fianl against Cas ended this possibility.

The Crusaders, on the other hand, set up another company a month before going into admin. Therefore, there was never any option to stay solvent.

Again, Widnes did not have this option, or the offer from the RFL to pay staff wages until the club came through admin.

I did love it when because it was starting to look like Crusaders were about to be largely unpunished for administration he claimed that Widnes were not necessarily knocked back from super league for ours, despite repeating that was the reason we were for the past two years and offering no alternative reason.

I have a link on my laptop from the RFL website stating the why's and why not's for the last round of licenses. It clearly stated the reason Widnes were not successful - even stating that where the club tried to dis-associate itself from the past in regards to it's finances it could then not draw upon the past for it's positives. Basically - going into administration blocked their entry.

Going into administration twice in two years should therefore block an entry with bells on.

The RFL are a joke. didn't a similar thing happen with their other expansion team.

I do find it strange that people forget that Paris and Gateshead were left to die beacuse it became clear that they were not working, I wonder if it is because it hurts their arguement.
