I agree it was a double blow to the London expansion to have the Broncos relegated and have Hemel taken over and moved to Canada at a time when there seems to be more clubs on the horizon

OK Ottawa may have access to a few $Million but to get anywhere and to justify replacing proper clubs like we see with phoney Wolfpack replacing the Broncos (hence Canadian clubs destroy our southern base) they need something more than money and that is the desire to grow the game on top of the game here, not replace it and depress it in the south of England.

People may recall the rumour a year or two back Argyle was to buy into London Skolars? Imagine if he had done that back in 2017 and supported Skolars, then partnered with Broncos and Hemel, how that would have massively boosted the Game here in England. Real expansion

Criteria include Good finances, Good Stadium, Decent (paying) attendances, good commercial potential and player production system.....

If it happens although I can't see it, as a Leigh fan (with the player production taken into consideration also) I'd go for Widnes.

There's a lot of water to go under the bridge before next season in their case with all the issues they have at the moment, maybe it would solve some problems for the RFL if they did stay up, one thing for sure though if they don't what criteria do you use to select a club to go up, without showing any favouritism to a particular club.

or play 2021 as an 11 team SL and whoever comes 1st and 2nd in the Championship comes up. Or, if the RFL really wanted to get some big positive press, have a big event, 1st go up as of right, 2nd and 3rd play for promotion, bottom 2 of SL play to avoid relegation, double header at Cardiff (Covid permitting)...

There is no way that the Rfl will pick a club from the Championship without causing uproar from whoever didn't get chosen.

Either Toronto stay up or an 11 team super league.

However an 11 team super league would decrease the broadcast deal because of the reduced game per round.

Therefore I think Toronto will stay in super league but start on negative points.

You've been reeled in yet again Wayne. TWP are disposing of their whole SL squad at this very moment. The question about then carrying on is about them carrying on in the championship or league, whichever one they get demoted to as a punishment for not completing this season.

TWP weren't an expansion team my friend. Even Perez defined expansion as new player pools and more TV deals. Neither happened.

This was what Lenegan asked of certain clubs who may harbour SL ambitions when it came to the new deal 2022. He wanted to see them run reserves and that included Bradford, Widnes, London and Newcastle. They all responded. I'd say it's logical that Superleague will be looking for a club not to fill in, but be full participants longer term so I'd put London favourites then Widnes...Bradford and Newcastle may have some way to go yet.

If SL would accept Leigh if they signed up a reserves side there's a chance.
