You’re definitely making most of that up because you don’t like his commentary, I’ve never heard him sound crestfallen when Warrington or Catalan score and seen as he’s full of snide digs I’m sure you could give some examples? I don’t think he’s a good commentator either seen as he doesn’t know half the rules but that whole paragraph is nonsense.

I much prefer the BBC coverage and commentary to Sky’s. I think their analysis and cover is generally far better than Sky’s and it’s a shame the BBC don’t get to show any SL.

Dave Woods is unbearably bad and Davies is a miserable sod other than that I prefer it myself.

Worst thing tonight actually came from Carney (who is usually good) at the end of halftime as he cut to the advert break. "Cas haven't scored a try in the 2nd half of their last 2 matches and Wakefield have fallen away in the 2nd half of their last 2 matches"

Imagine the thought of Eddie commentating on an England vs Australia world cup final with 22 million people watching it...it's so wrong on so many levels but I actually think any rational RL outsider watching it with aussie commentators would warm to it.

Ben Barba scores a good try just now but micky poor defending by Escare and Eddie calls it the try of the season, what a gnob!

Woods still can't even grasp the basics of the sport far too often, it's like listening to a novice to the game, he's simply a load of rubbish and like many others doesn't commentate simply rambles.

Agreed, Dave Woods is an absolutely terrible commentator. The only good British RL caller currently is Rod Studd, who seems to have been booted from Sky's coverage.

Although despite his decline I think Eddie's is made to look much worse than he is by the constant overbearing presence of Barrie, Terry and Stuart Cummings ruining every broadcast that he's on.

Why they continue to have Cummings I have no idea. He offers nothing at all. We really do not need to know his opinion on referee decisions.
