Someone asked what team we had out playing, I replied saying we had the first team playing first half barring Stark and Hadley. Second half was kids but included Miller, Bowden and Arundel who was the oldest player at 24 the next oldest was Miller 21. No excuses here. First teamers were a joke.

If it's a similar score line when we play Catalans then I will start worrying, but, as poor as today's result was, it's not worth getting worked up about a friendly.

Wouldn't say worried. Had a few Inportant players missing but still not great result and shows we could struggle with injuries.

However can't read too much into friendlies, didn't saints beat giants last year to be hammered following week in season. I'll tell you after first 3 games if we're worried.

Cas had Tansey, Webster, Gilmour, Boyle, Massey and Ellis missing. Dorn also went off with an injury too.

Bulls rely heavily on Sammut and Kearney for their plays and today exposed that deficiency, IMO.

We (Leigh) were pretty poor today v Warrington U-20's/Squad, but Batley in 2 weeks is what really matters.

The Bulls also seem to have been told that today was being played under tag rugby rules, unlike the game against Hull were they actually bothered to tackle.

Problem with friendlies is how competitive they are, ie are they a warm up you dont want to get injured in or are they an opportunity to push for a starting spot.
I have enjoyed ours so far, Wigan have some great players pushing through and playing for a couple of spots, Salford needed to show they mean business and the Wire game was originally a 20's but was moved up a notch.
I would throw the 20's and fringe at Fax next week and I feel we are battle hardened for the Big One v Batley

Funny that they're saying we should be worried about these friendly results, but the fact that we beat them in one is of no concern as it was only a friendly.

If you're going to troll, at least be consistent. The friendlies either matter or they don't. If they do, then you should be more worried. If they don't, then find something else to troll about. Can't have it both ways.

No they looked good in a meaningless friendly. This no more represents how good they are or how poor you are.

normally i dont read into friendly scores, but the attitude of some of the fc first teamers at fev yesterday in the first half stank!
over half of that starting 13 didnt want to be there and didnt have the stomach to man up against a very good, well disciplined fev side that will go well in the championship!

A poor performance several weeks before season starts with a pick n mix line up is just a blow out and results shouldn't be a concern.

But 2 weeks before season starts and a performance worse than the friendly before is a concern.

A few years ago Hull went after the best coach they could get now they give the job to Radford with the brief to bring the kids through hmmm.
