For someone to be at the top of his game for 16 years and many if those years he has been mentioned as the best in the world, is a phenomenon. The fact it's RL makes it even more special..... The body is not designed to take the impact it does in an average SL game let alone 16 years of it. I really do think he is the last of his kind. Whether you love him or loathe him you can't help but admire him....... So long Kieron RL will be a lesser game without you!!!

Just a quick question has he retired from the international game? The games I've seenhim play on TV he wouldn't look out of place playing for England in a few weeks time

Probably that was the only dissapointment in his rugby career, being injured too many times for the internationals. Still highly rated though by the OZ/NZ
conterparts.

He played for Wales though, not England.

There will be alot less high tackles and elbows going in next year without him.

What a way to exit, the guy is a legend without doubt and it was a special night all round but what a difference he made when he came back on.

Yeah, he does tend to attract a lot of lesser players trying to make a name for themselves doesn't he. They'll probably find a new target though, so maybe there won't be that many less.

Even i had a little smile to myself that our season was ended by Keiron scoring the last ever try in the ever game at Knowsley Road - it was bound to happen !

Legend............. and the best British player since Hanley. Even the Aussies rated him the best hooker in the world.

He's been a fantastic servant to St Helens and Rugby League; on form and at his peak he was almost unstoppable, total commitment and as brave as they come. No offence to Wigan, but I hope he lifts the trophy next week.

He's said the only thing stopping him is the training, so I doubt he would put himself through a pre-season for just the one game. We had a similar discussion on RedVee about him getting to 500 career games.
