| Bentham is a class A twit. He's got so much wrong tonight its embarrassing.
Kear is equally as clueless. England will get turned over with ease playing like this against NZ. Most tries have come from possession gifted to them, if you can't see this as an Eng fan well...

Kear clueless ?
One of THE most experienced coaches in the game and you think he's clueless ??
Apart from complimenting the discipline of England, what has he said that is "clueless".

Kear is so enthused by England's performance, he's almost awarded the 4N to them already.

To be fair, a lot of this team is experimentle.
Most haven't played together and it would be hard for any good team to step it up against such weak opposition in a friendly game.
It'll be a different story in the four nations under a different pressure with a different team.
There was a lot of positives this evening. Wasn't our usual trying to score off every play performance.. It was professional. It was a good warm up!

Following from what he said earlier to the tee carrier, at the end of the game I think he was saying to the players its his last game.
On that performance one can only hope. His open congratulation on air for a (cooper?) tackle on the french 10m when it was very close if not actually a high shot was incredible.
I wonder if he's staying within the game in another capacity, it's like Cummins/Ganson all over again if that's the case!

| Back line did OK for a first run out. Percival stronger in second half. Gale looked busy.
Though Taylor played very well and possibly got himself in the 17

| Taylor did play well. He played with far more aggression then I usually see.
It was a lose lose tonight for England. I actually think the biggest positive from the game was France! They played pretty well and they were very determined. England player pretty well but even if they'd stuck a hundred on them they'd have still been bagged for beating a poor side.
It was a good run out for me and the players will be better for it. We've got some fantastic talent to come back in to the side as well.

Most of the time you don't want spin on the ball. Most of Widdop's passes tonight were to Lomax out the back, him spinning this makes it a much harder pass for Lomax to catch in a good position to pass it on again.
Watch the highlights from today's game. Widdop's pass to Lomax in the first try there is no spin on it, meaning Lomax can move it on more accurately and faster (because it's easier to catch it in a better grip). Widdop's pass to Hall for the try to take us 22-6 up was span because it didn't need to be moved on once Hall caught it. It's a sign of a bad playmaker for them to spin every pass.

I'd go with that with the exception of Sarginson for Percival, as I think Sarge's work rate is going to be particularly important against tougher defences. I'd also start Farrell on the left with Bateman on the bench.

Percival should start

Gale for Widdop would be the bolder call, but unfortunately I can't see WB going for that.

| Strange that Gale played on the right when he has been selected after doing so well on the left.
If Bennett has decided that Widdop is playing on the left, Williams is better down the right edge than Gale.
Personally, I'd play Gale on the left and Williams on the right.
However, I'm guessing Widdop's experience against much better opposition in the NRL will see him selected.

| Our forward options are excellent, with some pressure on all players to perform.
Really looking forward to the Kiwi game, a full house at the Galpharm and it should be a cracker !

He attacks the right edge far more than Gale from what I have seen (which is not every week). Often, it's the Williams/Bateman/Gelling link that works down the right edge for Wigan.
As a Cas supporter I'd love to see Gale up against the Kiwis and Australians. However, I think he is less effective than Williams if playing in the right edge.
Personally, I'd go with Gale and Williams, but think Widdop will get the nod due to his experience in the NRL.
