Absolutely not! Particularly not a single round of blowout scorelines like this weekend's lamentable offerings which are a consequence of a lack of real competition and a stale competition structure where results don't matter that much during the regular season. 8 play-off spots and 14 SL teams is way too many. It doesn't work, it'll never work and we don't have enough playing talent to be spreading it that thinly anyhow. 5 play-off spots, 10 SL teams, P&R with 2 up and 2 down each season is a start on the road to recovering this sport from it's current malaise.

Is watching an awful mistake ridden game with little or no defense so each side scores try after try finish 41-40 better than a game where one side produces great rugby and dominates winning 36-6

The friday night game was of very good quality IMO for the first game of a season.Leeds were excellent and Hull were solid enough for an hour and the 30 point margin was a little harsh on them.

We all know Salfords situation so the result there is no surprise.I dont think too many people would have had Hudds. to do saints over on saturday and in such style, i know i didnt! same goes for Widnes winning in London and Bradford dominating a much fancied Wakey.

I doubt many people at Craven Park were moaning, despite the result, about the entertainment on offer in a close game which had over 50 points in it.

some people need to stop the obsessive comparisons with the NRL(which we will never match now) and try to enjoy what we have a little bit more.

Out of all the weekend games there was only one which finished by less than 10 points, and even in that one the Catalans raced into a big lead. In todays game it can be all to easy for teams to get a roll on and run up the score, even when playing against the top teams as well as the weaker ones, so maybe it's time to reduce 10 metre gap.
