People may not remember, but Adrian Morley did exactly the same thing in terms of drink driving and running from the cops - at the same time that the GB team had a don't drink and drive campaign as the main front of jersey logo.
The vast majority of normal folk, in normal jobs don't do this stuff, these high profile, highly paid jerks, who have an abundance of support networks available have no excuse.

Never said it did and it's still in the balance if he actually plays for Wigan, but it's nice to see the actual standard of a stupid action and Morleys takes some beating and I suppose getting caught drink driving under the conditions his in runs it pretty close. However, Morley seemed to have learned his lesson maybe Zak can?

Nice attempts at deflection on Hardaker's behalf - but he's not just an idiot, he's a serial idiot; a repeat idiot; an idiot recidivist if you will. So any attempt to mitigate because you want him to take the field for your team, is going to look like what it is - the usual RL fan approach that someone's punishment for misdemeanours should be inversely proportionate to how talented they are, and which team they play for - which of course it shouldn't.

Like many others I don't want him at Wigan, however you can trawl through the internet and find many cases of players drink driving and it's a problem that won't go away. One idiot gets replaced with another, when will it end?

can I ask whats your thoughts on you've put on seeing a video of the two involved, we already know the out come on what our club did, would you of taken a different line having one of the most important games coming up or would of risked playing them saying that they needed help and give them a last chance.

I personally thought it was very brave of our club to take the stance that they did, having owned a brewery and supplying beer to the public I did encounter thoughts about the ones that couldn't handle their beverages and went OTT, not only alcoholics but the ones that just don't care about others and then proceeded to drive.
I would be a liar if I said I have never drunk and then driven in my younger days, others also should hold their hand up too.

its been well known he's had his troubles in the past and suffered for being in the highlight but the guy know doesn't understand, if he's just going to go from trouble to trouble without someone stopping him he will never learn. he's so lucky that this could of had him up in prison had he killed someone, my verdict would be good bye Zac the sport doesn't need you, sorry you've had more than one chance |
