| Suggest you go on LU and read the reaction of the vast majority of fans to the sin bin rule and the shoulder charge changes. You my friend are the one in the minority. If RL is too rough follow soccer, Union or AFL. Plenty of sports out there for you and your ilk.

You've spent to long on LU, they've turned you into a bogan. The posters on LU don't represent the majority of fans I sit at games with, nor are they the fans, sponsors and investors the NRL are targeting because they don't have much of that important ingredient. Money.
As I've said the NRL have banned the shoulder charge and gave harsher pentaltys to punching.
So I suggest it's you and your ilk who need to find another game to follow.

Tis funny then that the NRL at the end of last year, whilst the shoulder charge and biff were around, signed a Billion $ media deal and increased its sponsorship portfolio significantly. Funny how everyone was falling overthemselves to be alligned to this game that was so rough and aggressive? Just because the NRL have made the decisions doesn;t make them good ones. The majority of fans, players and coaches don't support it, glad it pleased someone!

| All you've done is confirmed that 81% of people that took that poll are as stupid as you.
Was the question asked "Is it worse off?" or did the poll/reporter have an agenda?
Anyway what sport have you chosen to watch now the NRL doesn't fit your first for head trauma?

You are very blinkered and narrow minded if you think the majority are wrong and you are right.
Are you a member of the Health and Safety brigade?
Next you'll be advocating helmets and big shoulder pads for the players.

Who are the majority? Doctors? Scientists? Neurosurgeons? Psychologists?
I think they're right.

I'm good, the NRL are clamping down on the "biff" and have banned the shoulder charge.
Which game are you turning too? You'll be ok, you don't have a local NRL side anyway.

| The game needs foundations and those foundations are the Juniors and the Parents that decide to put their kids into a Sport at Junior level they are comfortable with.
In Australia, the AFL, Soccer and even Union Clubs all compete at junior levels with programs like Auskick against League.
Times have changed where people will not have their kids in a sport that allows thuggery or condones dangerous play.
When I played the game there was as much fighting as play (it was a low grade)
That will not sell in this day and age.
Without Parents wanting their kids in League, the game will wither on the Vine in a few years time.

| The players have all been penalised for doing it. I think the point is that it's not that bad is it, a bit of this kind of thing infrequently? People are becoming hysterical in society over everything these days

It already has in Australia.

I'll be sticking with RL and watching my local team where a bit of biff isn't seen as the end of the world and NFL were a good snott bubbler shoulder charge still makes the highlight reels.

Are you campaigning for NFL sides to lose the shoulder pads and helmets? Was there introduction due to soccer moms and netballers?

The games been growing in jnr participation numbers for a few years, there is oz tag and touch for non contact lovies like sheldon and my ten year old playing afl can't wait till next year when he can actually get physical and tackle people. Go figure!

Nothing wrong with tackling and big hits.
Just not shoulder charges or attacks to the head, high shots and some of the cheap shot king hits, leg twisting and attacks to the knees that have been seen in recent times.

| It's interesting how people change the conversation to suit their agenda.
I don't see anyone suggesting that kids will be disallowed by their parents from playing the game if 2 players have a barney or there's a bit of rough stuff during a game; I do see people suggesting, quite rightly, that an all-in brawl of this nature is bad for the game and shouldn't be celebrated.
How can anyone argue with that?

Exactly Buggo.
It's not difficult to understand, the safety of players has to be paramount.
It always makes me chuckle in JB's world you're either a softy who should stick to touch or a "real" man who wants to see concussions! No middle ground.
