Terrible lazy defence from Atkins, just like last week.

Shouldn't be getting an offload away in that situation, they whole line wasn't up quickly enough and whoever was left of Westwood was in no man's land when the ball was offloaded. Can't blame the back for what Marshall did, he would rip any defence to shreds, great finish.

No composure at all from England, very fatigued at the moment and even more errors seem to be creeping in.

It's not an excellent try. Ryan Atkins is absolutely pathetic, scared to death of committing and hoping to coast through the game without having to make a tackle. Ridiculously poor defending.

England are just so poor it's untrue. 40 points would be a decent outcome, they can score whenever they want to. We cannot do the basics right, we cannot defend, we cannot go through the sets professionally and there is no spirit in the team whatsoever.

I just hope they can muscle up and beat PNG.

Can I just say that from when Shenton got tackled the ref had 3 calls to make. Holding down on Shenton was pretty obvious and not given, then we should have had a drop out that was blatant and for some reason not given, then a massive forward pass to Luke wasn't given. Unbelievable reffing, obviously bias.

Started really poorly and Atkins is having a shocker, Roby didn't start off too hot either. We're still just about in this but need to start asking more questions about the Kiwis. Goulding, Shenton playing reasonably well. Tomins ok, Brown yet to convince. Would have like to see either Senior and Gleeson out there too...

That was a pathetic half i wouldnt mind if they where just outclassed but they arnt even playing anywhere close to potential or even how they play week in week out in superleague. Tomkins is getting wasted at 7

Awful opening 20 from England. Kicking game rubbish (we need someone like Deacon/Sinfield), completion rate crap, too many mistakes. Pack doing ok, but backs are just not good enough. Luckily NZ aren't firing 100%. If we started better we might have been in with a chance, but we've done too much defeding IMO, wouldn't be surprised if NZ win by 30+.

Widdop to 6, Tomkins to 1 and give Widdop control of everything. Having an NRL player control things might bring some aspects of a professional level performance.

Ryan Atkins, James Roby and Kevin Brown have been Englands worst players by a long way. Atkins and Browns reading of the defence as been nothing short of awfull. Roby looks drained.

Sean o Loughlin, Gaz ellis and Tom Briscoe have been stand outs.

regardless of the opposition, no team at any level can afford to turn over 50% of possession and still hope to compete.

I would switch Widdop and Tomkins straight for the 2nd half.

Widdop's lack of pace is not a problem at pivot but it remains an issue at the back.

And for Christ's sake, test out Hohaia with a decent bomb with chasers. They should have done it early and well...he is about as much a confidence player as you can find and he is now "up" after scoring a try.
