He left his feet and barely made an attempt to tackle.

| Feel sorry for Wakefield. Can’t fault their effort in this game. Hull fc though look as bang average as normal and no threat to the big 2 of Saints and Wigan

| How many times did Chester say his team lacks quality in that interview? All his players worked their socks off and he comes up with that? How on earth is the guy still in a job? Is it because wakey can’t afford to sack him?

He's tendered his resignation a few times but it's never been accepted. That was a BS interview. Give an amateur side the amount of territory and possession Trinity had last night and they would've created more than one try.

| Where was the red card. A complete bottle job.
If RL is serious about head injuries, that has to be a red and a few games.
Late, to the head, no attempt to tackle whatsoever. Mind you, it probably won the game for Hull

Come on Wren, our inability with the ball won it for Hull, or lost it for Trinity. Any other team with that much possession and territory would have won comfortably.

I agree with this.
However, I also believe that, had Hull had to play the second 40 with 12 men, Trinity would have won.
Hull were gassed at the end of the game and that would have been worse had they had to cover some extra holes.
Yes, Trinity should have done more with the possession that they had in the Hull 20, no question, but, it was a sending off offence all day long but, only given as a yellow.
Hull lose a plyer for 10 minutes, Trinity lose a young lad for 4 weeks

| trinity are not a bad side , got in the habit of losing games they should win ,farimo faces a ban and should have been shown a red card but the way the game went would trinity have won if he had been off the field, they had plenty of chances, poor execution coupled with some decent scrambled defence cost them a game they should have won

We were definitely fortunate to only get a yellow, it was a really wreckless challenge by Faraimo. I expect we will be without him for a few games now. Would Trinity have won if it was a red? We'll never know for sure. It's true that we looked gassed at the end, but Trinity never looked like taking advantage during the time we were down to 12, so who's to say.
There have been a couple of comments about Hull still looking like an average team. If you take that game in isolation then we did indeed look average. But bearing in mind the extra time played last week and the quick turnaround I thought this was a gutsy effort, because we did look very tired as the second half wore on. Wakefield actually played well I thought, they took the game to us and kept coming for 80 minutes. We had our backs to the wall for long periods but we dug deep and ground out the win. It wasn't pretty, but there's no way a Radford coached Hull would have won that game in those circumstances.
I also feel Connor is trying too hard to provide all the spark in Reynolds' absence. He had some lovely touches last night but he also pushed plays that weren't there on a few occasions. It's a hard balance because Connor is often at his best when he's trying something outrageous, but I think Hodgson just needs to remind him to be a little more patient. Build pressure and the chances will come.
We need to rest up well now and get ready for Wigan. That game will be a good indicator of where we are this year.

Even with your black and white tinted glasses on, it was a red card offence.
It's absolutely shocking that the VR thought it worthy of just 10 mins.
Perhaps when things go the full circle, you will be happy for one of your youngsters to be taken out of the game with such a reckless challenge
I guess we will find out how serious it was when the disciplinary panel take a peek

But it was in reference to the awkward assistance Ben Thaler gave you, hence the extra man, all match quote.
And using my very old Jack Duckworth glasses, Bureta challenge, never an attack as you quoted, was, watching in real time committed, if slightly mistimed, red card, not for me, as one of your own posters Homme Vaste said at the time, he didn’t even think it was a penalty. Fair comment from one of your own.
If you choose to give credence and need support for your argument using the RFL Disciplinary panel decision, more fool you. Did you back them when Willie Isa had no case to answer.
Would you have won the game if Bureta was sent off, possibly as Wakey played well in my opinion, check your own forum as I stated this on game day, I really don’t know how we won, with all the six agains that went against us, Wakey had enough chances to win two matches, without the need to play against twelve men.

You still digging ??
It doesn't matter if he "mistimed" his challenge.
It was a shoulder charge to the head - no attempt whatsoever to tackle the player, just to take him out, which he managed, very well.
As far as Hull were concerned, job done and the fact that you try and defend the challenge makes you look slightly daft.
In real time its hard to pick up, especially as the ball had gone but, that doesn't change what happened

Shoulder charge? He wraps his arms - but the head did connect with the shoulder. In the split second he had to react to the ball gone, he couldn't change his body position. 2 game ban probably fair, but it wasn't the reckless, pre meditated attack to the head that some people think it was

We must have different TV coverage over here.

Hi wrenners Ben Thalers mum here can't help but notice your comment regarding the difficulty the ref had in real time recognising the foul by the FC player, not sure what's changed your mind over the weekend, but you were adamant at the time that the ref was as much to blame as Kendall the video ref, and in your opinion Thaler should have dealt with the incident much sooner, would you care to comment on your change of mind.

Thanks for the interest Mrs Thaler, I'm touched by your concern
It would have been interesting if the game had not been televised, whether the ref or his assistant (linesman in old money) would have seen or done anything about the incident.
Primarily, I'm more concerned that one of Trinity's youngsters is going to be missing some game time after "swallowing" the FC player's shoulder.

Of course it matters, if it was deliberate, the punishment would of been more severe, an instant red, or a four match ban today, we will have to agree to disagree on this one.

Had the game not been televised then the FC player would not have been suspended, Thaler clearly did not see the incident as he was as per usual up with play, and without the luxury of eyes in the back of his head would rely on the touch judge for assistance which in this instance was not available, not sure what your agenda is here fella as one minute your attacking Thaler for poor refereeing, and the next your defending him.

I have no agenda here, other than young Jowitt being injured by a late hit and Trinity being left without a FB.
It should have been a red card. Hope that's ok with you ?
