| Dire. Poor presenting skills and production values. Generally came across very amateur. Probably down to the budget they were given but looked awful.
Felt alot like a bunch of close mates who have in jokes that nobody else understands.
Really won't help the games image outside the traditional areas.

| Terrible. I actually thought it was a take.
It's like rugby league's equivalent of Wayne's World.

| It was extremely amateurish but I expected that before turning on as I've seen a lot of the shows on YouTube. I did enjoy it though and I thought some parts were pretty funny. They would have had a tiny budget for it and worked with it reasonably well, it was better than Boots n All for entertainment, just needs a production budget.
Although it's Alex Simmons' project I'm not sure he's the right man to present it and at times I struggled to understand JJB. Coming slightly away from trying to be the footy show wouldn't do any harm either, it was too much like a poor mans version.
Having said all that, I enjoyed it and I'll certainly watch it next time it's on.

| Personally thitht Simmons did ok as well. I like Hidein, but my god he was awful at presenting. Kirmond,
Senior and JJB won't much better. Some parts i liked, other parts had me hiding behind my hands cringing.

| Easy to slate it as cringeworthy, amateur and embarrassing - which indeed it was at times. But despite myself I found myself sticking with it and enjoying some parts.
But you know what, RL in the UK is crying out for a programme like this. Thing is, it isn't and can never be The Footy Show, so please don't try to emulate them or their 'comedy' segments which are pretty terrible anyway. Australians are a long way down the list when it comes to entertainment and should never be copied, The Footy Show this year is dire.
Bring in new anchors (maybe keep Mrs Walker but no more jokes please), definitely keep the strong player element, get rid of the terrible Footy Show imitations, please not so many thick Yarksher accents. Get cameras out to different amateur clubs each week for a new segment. Get some of the players trained up in presenting - it's not all about fake enthusiasm, talking loudly, or cool one-liners 'bro'. Just relax, all of you.
Pretty awful tonight, but all the potential in the world. I hope they stick with it but carry out some brutal and honest self-criticism.
And what the f**k is a chewdog? No ta.

I think this is a pretty fair evaluation to be honest. I have to say I found it amusing when Wayne Godwin was presenting his segment and proceeded to shout at the cameras like a pensioner down the phone.

| I thought it was very good LOL a few times?
Yes it was probably done on a shoestring budget and you could tell with the sound in the studio but if they could get themselves into a proffesional studio it would come across much better.
Deffo watch it again? Is this a weekly show or was it a one off?

| Two shows in one for me: my first Rugby AM and my last.
That 'road trip' bit with signposts around Yorkshire just about finished us off.
We really did, honestly, wonder if the whole thing was intended as a spoof.

Very similar to my thoughts too.
It did look amateurish and the strong Yorkshire vibe did create a bit of a "local show for local people" feel to it.
However there were some genuinely funny moments; I thought the Dave Campbell/Mick Morgan segment was good and Amor/Walmsley section was pretty funny too.
Overall, fair play to them for trying to get something like this off the ground. They're bound to have teething problems at first and they'll the support of the public for it to gain momentum.
I'd take what I saw last night over Boots n All any day of the week.

Its monthly so the next one should be Wednesday night in a months time.
I thought it was great. Yes it was amateurish, and the production values lacked somewhat but its a project fronted by someone who's obviously passionate about the game and a genuine fan who is trying to better adapt the format the show is presented in.
So what if they're trying to copy The Footy Show format, I for one love the Footy Show as it doesn't take itself too seriously. I don't even bother with Boots n All anymore. If Premier Sports are willing to allow this show to blossom, over time and with a bit of guidance I think there is massive potential and the more players that get involved the better.
I think a lot of you need to lighten up, it was the first programme, and I doubt any of them are paid for it. And if Beau Ryan and The Footy Show do manage to come over here at some point, Id rather they meet the people on this show than the To$$3#s on Boots n All!

| If it was intended to be a parody of the Footy Show, then they succeeded. Unfortunately for them it wasn't, and I'll use that word cringey again.
That said, I applaud them for trying. With the advent of Full-time, Back Chat and Superstars, Boots N All has become very stale, and a fresh approach to a rugby magazine show is needed. However:
1) Don't try and do it for an hour and a half, they don't have smooth enough content for that length of time. I couldn't bare to watch a full 90 minutes. Start with 30 minutes to an hour and then expand once they have started to get into a rhythm.
2) Stop trying to be the Footy Show. Almost every segment was a mirror of what they do but 50 times worse. Beau Ryan imitating players is at best quirky, at worst annoying. Wayne Godwin in a bald cap shouting "Larndan" over and over is embarrassing and highlights the parochial nature of our game at the moment. Is Dan Sarginson being southern one of the funniest things we can mimic? If so, bin that segment. (And don't get me started on him blacking up to be JJB...)
3) Try to do it live. For all its faults, Boots N All was able to jump immediately on the Bradford points story last night. Rugby AM sounded like it was recorded before the Challenge Cup. Being outdated doesn't help.
It was a valiant effort and I hope it grows, but they need a lot of work.

| It needs an awful lot of work and some resources spent on it but the idea is a good one although it seemed to drag on, maybe an hour would be better. A little more diversity might also help as yesterdays show made the flat clap and whippet myth seem pretty much bang on.

| For it to be understandable they need to up their sound budget, or get JJB to speak slower, Senior to say something interesting, and stop Kirkmond from acting like a little shy Hobo. I found myself mesmerized by Walker's missus (Maybe it was just the dress) but she appeared to be nothing more than eye candy, which was a shame as she seemed to be the most confident one presenting. While I like Godwin he just seemed to be present so we could all have a good look at why he looks like a badly burnt tortoise without a shell.
Most of the segments were pretty good, with the exception of Godwin's dressing-up segment which highlighted the fact that he should be doing something else at his age. Like emptying bins or something.
I'll watch again because, well, we don't have anything else do we? But I'm sure that they will improve over time.

| The game has been crying out for something like this. Alex simmons has done loads to just get to this stage, no one should slate the show as they are trying to get rugby league on the map, it started in a garage and since they have been to oz to look at how they do things there. Yes the sound quality wasnt great but they are on a low budget. I thought that the long interviews got a bit boring but they are just trialling things out because they are all knew to it. It will only keep getting better and in my eyes that was a great start, credit to all of them for getting off their backsides and trying to make something of our sport. Though wagga's impressions were awesome had me in tears. Only thing is kirmond needs a bit more experience to improve with jones buchanon not going off on one because you cant hear a word he is saying. the roadtrip was a bit cheesy but a good idea with work. Lots of potential in my opinion, well done guys!

| Thought it had some good bits and some that should never see the light of day again. It was very "Footy Show" and perhaps needs to move away from that a little.
The interviews were good - the Tony Abbott one particularly, but Mick Morgan is always good value, as was the "bottleless get". I didn't mind the fans trip to Bradford and that could be a good section, as could going to junior clubs.
I like that some players seem to have bought into it and Alex Simmonds was good too, although the players need some media training. JJB was incomprehensible in parts, although quite funny.
But the Wagga impressions bit was awful. A rip off of Beau Ryan's clowning on the Footy Show, which I don't like anyway, but which seemed to consist of in-jokes being shouted while wearing different wigs (as well as the impressionist's downfall of saying "I'm so and so" because you can't actually tell who it is). Once is enough.
The show could be good, but it needs to be shorter, and needs to focus on issues within the game and game coverage (difficult as Sky have this) as well as more lighthearted sections.
The sound was bad but I'm not worried about that at this stage. The tech budget must have been about a fiver, but the content showed some promise, which is more important.
