| I know its early doors yet but don't they look impressive ? Amor and Walmsley are having a belting start to the season.
Any team who can destroy the Mighty Salford Red Devils and all their world class marquee signings (if you believe the Sky team) deserve all the accolades.
Seriously though, i've been mightily impressed by them so far.

| Look an awesome team at the moment. theyve had a tough start as well. theyve blown salford and Warrington
away. God knows what theyre going to do against the lower sides such as Bradford and London. Would have given the roosters one hell of a game IMHO
Funny as some saints fans wanted brown sacked last year.

| Salford were poor, but equally Saints were really impressive again. It makes me happier about our performance against them last week. I was disappointed at the time that we blew a half time lead, but actually a 12 point loss away from home is looking like a highly respectable score line.

| Has to be said, Saints are on very good form. They won't be able to sustain this throughout the season, and injuries will, as ever, play a part. But at the moment, they're playing like a very confident side who know they are good, and have faith in each other on the field.
Early days, but the bookies have it right at the moment.

| Salford were pretty appalling tonight. don't know whether it was the pressure of expectation or what, but Saints were brilliant.

| Let's not get ahead of ourselves please!
We had some good moments, but we made some silly errors again, and the tries we scored aren't particularly structured at the moment.
Hopefully Mose can help with our 20 minute slump in the middle of the first half too...
(I'm still very happy tonight though )

It was pretty bad last season, especially in the early games. But I don't think many people genuinely wanted Brown to be sacked. He obviously had a vision and the pain of last season looks like it could pay off this season.
It's too early to say much but we've had a decent start. We were pretty sloppy vs Hull last week. It's pointless if we don't play like this in September!
Btw, Kyle Amor looks like the best signing of the season, and for only £30k. Amor and Walmsley are very good

50k.....
Tremendous signing as I, and many Wakey fans said at the time.....shame we had to sell but life goes on.....
Despite what Phil Clarke said about it taking him 3 years and a switch to Saints to become a top prop....he's been one of the best for the last 12 months at least.....
Fantasic performance by Saints tonight.....look the complete package to me....thought so with the back end of last season and with the signings they've made.....certainly the team to beat for me....

| Early days for Saints but they certainly look very good and of they can stay fit they'll be right up there and challenging for trophies at the end of the year. I like the young backline, especially Percival and Swift who have been real finds and Walsh just looks a class above most halfbacks in superleague. The forward pack is full of energy with Amor looking like the signing of the off season so far. The beauty of having real grafters like Amor in that front row is that it will enable Masoe to do huge damage in the short bursts he'll only be capable of when he's back. Add his impact in to that side and it looks a tough nut to crack.
Leeds are still my favourites for most things, Huddersfield and ourselves shouldn't be a million miles off but Saints are right in that pack IMO.

| Saints had loads of injuries at the start of Superleague last year mostly all the play makers.
This year with the obvious inclusion of Walsh and Amor they look better balanced, but the difference to me is attitude and team spirit which to a large extent has got to be down to Brown, the coach has had the luck of little injuries and less tinkering of the side.

| Saints have started very well. But Nathan Brown's teams have prior for starting like a house on fire then tailing off towards the end of the season. Last season, whilst he was bedding in at saints seemed to prevent any similiar pattern.
It's still quite early to really take too much notice of form or where teams are in the league. Had salford won last night they'd have been top.
Teams most recent experiences also tend to dictate how they approach things. Saints, after starting poorly last season and having a poor season by their standards probably had a big focus on hitting the ground running and building a good platform for the season. Whereas huddersfield, after finishing top, playing well all season and failing to make the grand final probably aren't as focused on setting things on fire early doors.
I would urge cautious optimism from saints fans.
