| Can't help but feel they've deliberately picked 13 English players this year.

| Sam Tomkins is an outstanding player but should he really be in the dream team after only playing 18 of the 27 games? In that time he has scored 23 tries.

| I think there is a bit of an agenda re no foreigners. Moon must have been in the running and I would have had Dobson over Smith.

| Pretty much agree with the whole team. Ben Crooks and Matty Smith could be the most debatable. Although I've no problem with either been there.
It is a little surprising there are no Wire players considering they finished 2nd. But Wire have been a good team this year rather than individuals standing out (although Higham is very unlucky not to be in)

Fair point, did occur to me when I was reading it. However, I then thought which overseas players I'd have put in, and couldn't really come up with any, bar possibly Moon, Escare, maybe Carney or Chase.

Or maybe our homegrown players were better than the foreigners ??
Dont forget the overseas players these days are not neccesarily in the same class as ones in years gone by.It also shows the quality there is in our homegrown players.

| I think I might have gone for Myler over Smith, myself, and possibly Escare instead of Tomkins (as he's missed a lot of this season), but can't really complain about that team. All have been great this year.

| To credit Matty Smith not many people have been saying that Wigan have missed Tommy Leuluai this season yet before he arrived many people were saying that Smith was not a good enough replacement.
Overall Smith has done very well this season for Wigan, he has been consistent and kicked well and played a massive part in Wigan winning the Challenge Cup.

Kicked us to death in that game. Have to say that i'm still a little surprised at his inclusion.

| I'm fairly depressed that Smith is down as the best half in the country. Perhaps a less literal interpretation of halfback would have allowed Ratchford in ?
Similarly O'Loughlin. There have to be better back-three players out there than him this season.
Coaches don't have such a strict belief in loose always playing loose, and stand-off never playing scrum-half any more, so why should the dream team selectors ?
The rest I can't argue with. I recognise this might sound a bit old codger-like, but if those are the best 13 players in their positions in our competition, then we've got some quality issues. Roll back three or four years, and only a handful of them would be good enough to be selected.

I personally think Myler has been better than Smith this season and more deserving of an inclusion, surely he cant have been excluded on games when Crooks, Tomkins have been included?
As much as I'd love to agree, I think O'Loughlin is by far the best English 13 in SL, and cant think of many better from overseas. He really makes Wigan tick and is massive for them, no coincidence their form drops when he isnt there. The graft he goes through is very good and fully deserves his place in there for me
I can't believe Liam Farrell hasnt got in there, he has been very good every time I have seen him play and deserved selecting imo, also think both Goulding and Moon have possibly been harshly overlooked - Moon has been best centre I have seen in SL this year. Also think Houghton and Higham have been slightly better than Lunt, but not much between the 3 of them to be fair

Like who ? He's been awesome for a number of years and once again this year been Wigan's best player and easily the best 13 in England.

Hasn't he been missing most of the 2nd half of the season?

| Lunt's had a great season though to be fair, and just shades Higham in my opinion.
Also, Lineham's had a brilliant first season for Hull but I'd have gone for Hall.

Higham maybe has a case, not the others.
The dream team is fair, considering the number of players in SL being whittled down to 1 per position.
