| Given the sense of general dread that currently haunst one or 2 boards on here very year (this year, London and Widnes are the lucky clubs), I was wondering who, using [size=150FACTS and STATS only[/size, has been the worst coach of your club in the SL era. To make this fair on the "yoyo clubs", more than 40 games (1&1/2 seasons) in SL must have been coached....
For London I nominate, Rob Powell:
43 SL Games
8 wins (19%)
1 Drawn (2%)
34 lost (79%)
840 points for, 1,470 against
-630 points or an average losing margin of 14.6

| Ah Superleague top trumps...
Gary Greinke would be up there for me, a quote from Dave Rotherham at the time was "He couldn't coach mould out of a house wall"

So a man who took over a team that were perennial losers, guided them to their first major final for decades, achieved a respectable league position and paved the way for future success is in your opinion the worst coach in Super League history?
My vote goes to Kevin Walters. He took Catalans from 4th place to bottom within two seasons, and within 18 months of him leaving the club is back in 3rd again.

| Richard Agar -
2006: 2nd
2007: 4th
2008: 11th (of 12)
2009: 12th (of 14)
2010: 6th
2011: 8th
2012 (so far): 5th with a game in hand.
Pick out the Agar years, no PO games won and no CC games won against a SL opponent in 2009-11.

Stats don't lie, I don't think anyone will top (or bottom, more like) this record

How very selective. But forget all about 2008 when Agar took Hull to Wembley with a gutsy away win at Bradford and a semi-final defeat of a decent Wakefield side coached by Saint John Kear ?
Gary Grienke never coached in Super League - he left London in Jan 1996 and SL kicked off in March '96.
It was Tony Anderson who coached Halifax in 2003. But I'd nominate his namesake.
Who can forget the genial Steve Anderson at Warrington ? Paul Darbyshire (in his solitary game in charge) coached the Wolves to an 18-14 home win over emerging champs Bradford at Wilderspool in the August, Anderson then took over and presided over the 12-84 home defeat to the same Bulls side a month later !

Just looked it up - you won 7 out of 28, the losses including a 2-72 against Saints, and missed relegation by 3 points. The season sticks in my mind for our 30-18 beating of you in an 'on the road' game in Carcasonne where it was so hot that the ref (Russell Smith, if I remember aright) agreed to the game being played in 20 minute quarters to give the players a break.

| It is difficult to say really. How do you define a bad coach? There are coaches which have had teams finishing at the bottom but with not much to work with and then coaches finishing mid-table with good squads.
At the moment it has to be either Powell or Mcdermott. They both have good squads which should be much higher than they are now.
