At the big stage of the season, when the game needs as much publicity as possible, the current super league champs decide they are too important for media commitments.

If he decides his players - who looked fatigued, lacklustre and in need of a fresh start against Warrington and Saints - need time away from distractions, then so be it. It's his squad, they're his players, it's his call.

Only an idiot would fail to recognise Wigan have underperformed in their last few games, including the CC Final, and it's a coach's job to recognise such issues and introduce solutions - if that means a few days away from the media glare, great. Something in the recent routine needs changing to provide a fresh mental and physical start.

RL gets naff all coverage anyway. Wigan keeping quiet for a few days won't lose us any column inches. In fact, conversely, it might lead to additional coverage.

Total and utter disrespect. It's also a breach of the Sky contract and techically could result in the sport losing it's TV revenue.

What Sky interviews? There is no build up on the coverage of our game.

They did the same thing last year before our semi final at Leeds. Don't remember any fuss being made then.

What have Catalan players got to do with it? All he is doing is ensured the players are fully focused on the job in hand. Each coach deals with things differently. I'm certainly not going to argue with a man that has delivered a league and a cup in the last twelve months. He perhaps realises that we are actually knackered physically and this is his way of trying to deal with it.
