For me, this is a season defining game for the Rabbits.....they win and they can kick on, they lose and they go to a very formidable looking Bulldogs the following week......tab paying 2.75....might be worth a "tickle"

Souths are easily one of the worst sides in the NRL this year.

2-0 after 65 minutes, what a boring game it must have been.
Souths must of given it a real go in defence but to not even score a point is just pathetic. Lang hasn't got a clue, all them stars and cant do anything with them.
How did Gasnier go up against Inglis?

Inglis must be wondering what he's done to deserve this, on the left we have Taylor and Inglis being fed by the worst 6 in the NRL.

I thought it was pretty good tbf. 2 good defences and 2 committed teams. I know it finished 16-0 but there was an element of luch in Creaghs offload for Gaz's try. Also Cooper pulled off a cracking tackle where he lifted the guy off the ground in the process of scoring and pulled him back into the field of play. The score would have been 6-2 to the Bunnies at that point.

It was a enjoyable game, barring a couple of brain farts from Wesser and Tadulau, Souths were in it most of the game.

no it was a poor quality attacking game with a clueless Souths attack and a boring St George. If it was chucking it down there would be an excuse but it wasn't and there isn't. In the modern game to have a 2-0 scoreline after 60mins tells you something!

Sutton is not a 6 and Sths need to find one if they are ever going to improve, and they need to put Wesser out to pasture, and they need to tell their very well paid pack to get stuck in!

Poor quality attack or sound defence?

The Dragons move for Boyds try good as was their first tackle play from the 20 restart.

2-0. there's defence then there's poor attack! Maybe in 1976 a 2-0 scoreline would be good defnbece, in the modern game it signifies poor attack. Dragons ahd about 6 good attacking moves in 80mins. Snoooooooze!

Have to say, so low scoring games can be "crackers'.....that one wasn't. Still, a win is a win and I am sure that winning ugly is preferable to losing in style

This is a bit odd. The general consensus on LU is this was one of the best games of the season.

I certainly don't like the reasoning that if it's such a low scoring game, it has to be boring. I remember that Parra/Saints game a few years back where the score was 2-1 with just a few minutes to go. That game was awesome. Full of numerous near tries, stopped by great defence. Sounded like last night's game.

It was a good game, like I say I like St George and their tactics.

Souths matched them for 60 mins but when push came to shove Soward and Boyd produced the goods while Sutton (awful) and Wesser came up short.

It's a real shame you and Katie never met Bazza PHIPPS. He hated St George as well...used to call then St Choke. He was a big cronulla sharks fan...apparently he is in America working now and in a state where they don't yet have the interweb. Real shame.....I might PM him and see if he's checking his emails
