as good a talent he his, he will never be a great player until he stops doing niggly dirty digs, great players like johns and lockyer never resort to them spoilt brat tactics, thats what makes a truely great player unlike tomkins

it's quite said really.... no one is saying he hasn't got alot of talent.... he obviously has.

But he somehow feels the need to cheat, moan and niggle... Fans from all clubs can see him doing this... but when people say it, most Wigan fans respond with "oh you just want him in your team, you're jealous."

I didn’t see him play but by all accounts Alex Murphy was a niggly git who was quite adept at getting opposition players sent off. Didn’t stop him becoming an all time great and possibly the greatest British player of all time
