going with the favourites ie the chooks but souths winning wont surprise me

Tough one to call, this. I reckon Souths should just about get over the line by a score. Looking forward to seeing the combination of Dave Taylor and G.I on the Left edge.

Why isn't Justin Carney playing for the Roosters? I was looking forward to seeing him in the Roosters backline, and Graham isn't in there either.
I like the look of both sides and it should be a great game, would of been better had Todd Carney been fit to play but Anasta is a handy replacement.
Both sides have got good packs and strike players in the side. I think it will be close although the past couple of years have been blow outs, one to each side.
I cant pick a winner in this, could go either way. The Roosters have the more consistent halves but if Sutton and Sandow play well along with Isaac Luke then i'd go Souths. Isaac Luke being back is a big plus for them, he's one of there best and most important players and he cuts teams apart when he's on his game, i think he'll win the Dally M this year aslong as Souths dont get loads of injuries like last year.

Sandow and Sutton really need to step up this year if Souths are to have any chance of cracking the top 4. If Sandow could develop some patience with ball in hand, he would be a much better player. He's got to play far smarter this year if Souths are to mount a serious challenge.

I'd be more worried about ball retention to begin with. Although Archer/Roosters are trying their hardest to keep them in the game now.

Roosters need to get through a set without giving a penalty away. I don't even think Souths have been that good 2nd half. They have just had all the possesion and good field position. That KO will help the Roosters though.
