and everyone accused us of cheating when we got Gaz.
how does burgess accept $150,000 or something like that from souths?
still i like souths
hopefully push their season ticket sales up 5000 or so on last year to 15,000 ish.
souths really are a club which can get 40,000 + crowds

| The top eight?
I'll be amazed if they don't make the top 4!
Their only downfall is Sutton.

| Sutton is definitely overrated, but Sandow is the problem.
First things first, Souths need to make the 8. Thinking any further ahead than that, like this year, will produce the same results.

| I think Sutton is a good player on his day, the problem is he's a bit too inconsistent. Sandow is the main problem, although he can be good at times and great to watch he isn't gonna win a Premiership for them.
I think they'll definately make the top 8 aslong as they dont have as many injuries as last year because that ruined their season as it would anyone's.

| sutton and sandow are fine in the halves
what killed them last year was injuries
id have kept craig wing at 6, and left sutton at lock but sutton is fine at 6.
souths have to make top 4 with their side.

homebush offered a much better deal so they locked in for 10 years
after that the SFS started offering better deals and got the tigers there
the tigers should be at homebish and souths at the SFS
having said that if souths really want to market themselves hard they could get massive crowds at homebush

being closer to their traditional home ground they might get better crowds at the sfs
maybe if they returned there play some home games at the SCG

load of crap
Being closer to Redfern wont increase crowds, the demographic of the Souths traditional area has changed completly over the years, more Souths Supporters live in the west these days
The club has been doing market reesearch for years now

| I don't know where he got that stat from but it's not hard to believe. 1.4 million people live out here, I wouldn't be surprised if the largest percentage of fans from most Sydney teams live in the West.

souths said a while back they had fans from all over sydney, including the west
so im guessing he got it from that and twisted it.
with the area being mainly dogs and tigers i cant see them getting that many from the inner west or outer west being panthers and parra.
if souths moved to the SFS their crowds would be better.
their only comp. is the chooks and they are easy to compete with for crowds

| Morons still have Souths playing in the western suburbs and Wests playing at the SFS.
A dumber decision could scarcely be reached if you set out to do so.

I live in the North-West, where Parra fans are the largest percentage. Souths would be second, daylight third. That's why I find it believable.
