Whos the worst ref in super league???

A Leeds fan starting a thread complaining about referees and in particular the man who was in charge when Leeds lost last weekend.

Mr Child ref'd the Wigan/Crusaders match and pulled both teams for more forward passes than has been done for some years. He didn't influence the scores or result. Well done Mr Childs.

As for the worst, that can vary on performances on a week to week basis. Although Steve Ganson wouldn't win that award.

Before you start having a go at Leeds fans can I point out that this guy has 21 posts and has NEVER even posted on SouthStander. Clearly a troll trying to make Leeds look bad

Far and away the worst ref in SL at least. Dunno about the lower leagues.

Not many are upto the standard needed, not improved since turning professional, back to part time for them IMO.

Agreed, but you have to agree Hallibut is a bit special.

It's not that they're particularly bad it's they are so damn inconsistent, what was a penalty 5 minutes previously is now ignored.

Halibut is the worst for me the others all seem to have good games from time to time but i am yet to see him produce an average display yet.

Have you ever been to a game and questioned the ref, given him some abuse from the safety of the terrace, then got home and watched a replay of the game and thought oh the ref got it right. I bet there's a few RLFannies that have.

Funny how there's a massive waiting list of people trying to become RL refs.......it must be so gratifying to know you're appreciated.
Refs get things wrong......but so do players/coaches. I suspect we have all blamed a referee for a result that went against our team at least once...I know I have, but I still have learnt (with age comes wisdom

) that poop happens and there's a lot worse things than can befall you than a bad refereeing call.

So, to answer the OP's question, RL Fans are the worst referees!

Why?...Did he stop the slow PTB???...Constant offside???..Penalise Leeds at every opportunity?...I Listened to the game on radioLeeds and even the comms said Leeds were desevedly beaten....

I didn't think he did. His control of the ruck is the worst in the league. He strugles with the speed of the game and the 10. He didn't get calls wrong but it's what he doesn't call that makes him the poor ref he is. I saw him a couple of years ago ref Donny/widnes and he looked out of his depth there. There are better refs in the lower leagues but I can't see Smith dropping down until he retires.

You are joking right? Ganson is the best over here. He may get a bit whistle happy somtimes but at least he can control the ruck/10m well and gets the majority of his decisions right.

There are hundreds of them on here that think they know better when in fact they haven't got a clue but they have the arrogance of always believing they are right. They use their own biased view to judge others when in fact it is their biased view that gives them their viewpoint. They are too ready to believe the somments made on SKY when their knowledge of the laws of the game is flawed to say the least. If the cap fits..........
