castleford tigers- jordan thompson he`s been given a full time deal and can play anywhere in the backline and id say come the end of the season he will be a regular first teamer.
wakefield- hats off to wakey they have promoted many of their title winning acadmey players but the two that stand out for me are kain southerwood who`s an half back and chris annakin a loose forward who would run through a brick wall.

| From Wigan there are quite a few with our reserve side being the best in the country but the ones that stick out for me are Thornley (big centre, great athlete), Ben davies (hard running prop) and Liam Farrell (skillfull backrower)
There are many others though like Joe Mellor, he is a half back who got MOM in the reserve GF. Lee Mossop will be ripping it up next year but he has already played first team rugby.
Saints have some great players but the one who stands out to me is Lee Gaskell, a strongly built half-back who has all the skills.

| We have a few young Jack Briscoe and and Reece Lyne(still just 16 and promoted to the SL squad) as outside backs are seen as big players for the future

| Difficult to predict, but I feel McNally will make an impact next season. Carlile will be another who should make many more first team appearances next season. Personally I think Adam Walker could be a star in the making at Fartown.

Annakin hasn't signed a full time deal, great shame because he really is a talented player. The winger Dale Morton is a great prospect who will really benefit from full time training and as well as Caine Matty Wildie looks to be one to look out for. Danny Cowling looks like a strong powerful centre and Kyle Trout is a very powerful forward who to me looks to have more potential than the likes of Kyle Bibb already, I don't expect them all to make the grade but out of the 7 youngsters in the first team squad I'd expect to see three or four of them in action at some point (including challenge cup matches against lesser teams).
Thompson was full time last year at Cas and got a couple of games in I'm sure we'll see a bit more of him this season too

How many players coming through at Hull have been seen as big players of the future though, and fizzled out into nothing? Hopefully Tom Briscoe will change that.

| From Wigan the next player will most likely be Liam Farrell.
Ian Thornley is a very promising player, as is Stephen Marsh, but we have Gleeson, Carmont, Pryce and Goulding who will all be above them both for centre spots.

Is Kain any relation to Roy who played at Wakefield?
Saw Cas play Wakey U18's last season, some decent youngsters out on show.
Cas, Featherstone & Wakefield a true RL area, which has delivered some legends.

Saints - Eastmond
Both had great seasons, finishing very strongly.

| Wow. two far from complete halfbacks from a list that probably included 3/4 players from every club. I'm impressed. Really.
Across the NRL every year at least two or three obvious WORLD CLASS prospects come through, with a significant number of good squad players as well. Seriously, I suspect we'd all believe that junior development in England was going great guns if we even produced what the Broncos do every year (and before anyone starts they do NOT have the monopoly on talent in Queensland - even in south-east Queensland, as every NRL club has scouts here and several are poached every year by southern teams).

Of course they do. Liverpool, Man U, Chelsea etc... Have 10 or more potentially world class youngsters in there youth teams. Football is our number one sport. They have the player pool. Rugby League in England will never produce the amount of players Australia do.
Get over it mate. Just be happy to see the likes of Eastmond come thru.

| I'm happy to see Eastmond come through. But he is far from the finished article - fair enough at his age but what I fear is that the strengths in his game will stay but so will too many weaknesses. You'd fully expect an equivalent Aussie to develop into a more rounded player as they mature.
If you're happy with the odd star like Burgess and half-baked halfbacks then fine. Don't hold your breath waiting for us to see improved results regularly for England though.
