| I'm sure people can think of a fair few, such as the famed 'Wide to West' with Eddie screaming Chris Joynts name as he went over the line, so, what last minute try has made you smile more than anything?
Mine...
The Leigh side of 2003 (I think), playing against a Donny side that was battered, bruised, and had just lost players due to financial problems. Donny were within 4 points going into the last 5 minutes, when the ball found its way out to the right wing, where it found Johnny Woodcock, a young Doncaster lad, making his home debut at full back (he'd played scrum half in the academy), got the ball and popped through the defence to score the winning try.
I've never felt as emotionally drained at a game, and that includes last seasons Grand Final.

| For me personally it was probably Cockayne against Wakey in our first SL game.

I've watched it a thousand times. I'm still in awe of it. Anything that made Elliot fall off is chair gets my vote

| Danny McGuire's try in the corner at the (then) McAlpine in the cup semi vs Saints in 2003
After Sinfield tagged on the conversion from the touchline to take it into extra time, I'm not sure what was funnier. The Scousers despondent faces after thinking they had won the game, or the idiot Leeds fans that had left the game 4 minutes earlier as they thought it was all over, then missed a superb period of extra time and a Leeds win

| I didn't see Wide to West "as it happened" as I was at home with my little 'un while the Mrs was out. I did however, listen to it on the radio and was leaping around the living room - which is quite bizarre.
I suppose then, that the one for me was the Cunningham try against Wire a couple of seasons ago

I have the you-tube clip in my "favourites". On a regular basis i dip in and have a watch of it. It's compelling viewing - every time i watch it. Saints fans are lucky to have that in the archives and memories.

Copyrighted footage that you do not own removed. In fact, since you've done this before and been warned for this before – and apparently have decided that you can disregard such matters, fare thee well. Mintball

| I still think that Queensland's miracle try was better. Why?
More players in motion to make the try.
St Helens were kicking and throwing it back and forward like basketballers, keeping the game alive, waiting for something to happen. Nothing brilliant there.
It was Long running across field and passing Wide to West that made it happen. Then West and Joynt showe individual skills to beat men. So it was Long, West and Joynt -- three men --- who made the try.
But the Queensland Miracle try was much more a triiumph of brilliant support play as if it was choreographed by a master puppeteer. 10 men involved, some twice. It was pure ecstasy!
Let's put it to a vote!

| Radlinski against Bradford in 2000 then Farrell kicking the conversion to win the game.
Phil Bailey against Leeds in 2007.
Not a try but Farrell's drop goal against Wire when Briers thought he'd won the match with 2 DG's.

| Watching that just reminded me that, once upon a time, Bradford used to have away support.
I'll go for Alan Hunte for Warrington versus Salford in a CC Quarter Final, got over to win it in something like the 6th minute of injury time.

| Hull FC v Wigan, Boulevard 1988
12-12 and Wigan were awarded a penalty on the halfway line which Joe Lydon duly lined up to clinch victory. Penalty was on target but fell about 5 yards short whereupon Gary Pearce picked it up and ambled back towards the Wigan defenders. With everyone expecting him to stick it up his jumper and die in the tackle, he promptly threw a dummy, shot through the gap and headed off on a 70 yard dash at a pace that no-one knew he had. before drawing the full back and sending the supporting player in underneath the sticks. The Boulevard went mental and the Wigan players (Hanley, Edwards and all) just sank into the mud in despair.
We found out later that the 80 minutes was up when the penalty was awarded and the timekeeper was just waiting for the next stoppage in play before blowing the hooter. If we'd been tackled a yard short it would have been a draw. Instead its one of my favourite games ever.

| Brandon Costin v Leeds in 2003
Giants ahead all the game and battering Leeds throughout, Leeds tie the game up at 24-24 with about 5 mins left through a try from David Furner. Giants bring it down the field, lose the ball, Calderwood tries to pick it up but kicks it instead, Giants recover. Costin goes for a drop goal, charged down, 6 to go. 1st tackle, Costin takes 2 defenders with him and plops the ball down!
Fantastic Stuff

| I think someone needs to pass Eddie a few tissues during Wide to West.
The last minute Phil Bailey try against Leeds 2 years ago was pretty good, and it certainly shut the southstanders up

Indeed, the muppets who count down deserve all they get - you still get people now who think that once the clock hits 00:00 the game is over, then again they are more concerned with watching the clock than the game so maybe they aren't all that bothered.
I don't know about smiling, but the Tansey try at MM in Cardiff made me laugh (eventually) watching it I couldn't really believe what had happened when the try was given, then when I saw the replay I just laughed at the ineptness of it all (the officials missing the blatant offside, the Bulls players standing around doing little, not to mention the bad call for the penalty in the first place) as everyone around me started going mad and the angry text messages started to roll in.
The one that did make me smile was Leon Pryce's at Headingley in 2002, back in the days when a Leeds win against Bradford was a rare thing and their fans used to get ridiculously worked up about the games, they thought they'd beaten us and I actually saw a couple of Leeds fans in tears at full time (women to be fair). Whatever they say about his behaviour that is the day the Leeds fans really took against Pryce, the Sinfield incident had happened the year before but he never took the abuse he takes from them now until after that game.
