My hefty donation clearly paid off. I was considering withdrawing it after I got abused on here by a few Leigh fans.

What's the score then? The RFL are advancing them what exactly? Is this just another bailout by the RFL or is there something more sensible in terms of financial stability moving forward?

My understanding is the money that would be going to the clubs in 2012 from tv/sponsorship (not sure how much this actually is), is being given to the club early, so we can settle debts and avoid a winding up order. To do this the club have had to ensure that they have budgeted for not recieving this money next season.

The plan in the fans forum was to adopt Widnes' model of paying season tickets monthly, and for 12 months of the year. We've also halved our wage bill.

They're shutting Oldbury in February 2012. Oldest nuke plant in the world. I suppose they could "retire" it on Saddleworth Moor.

Yes a massive reduction in spend on players and staff , no new investors on the horizon , and time to run as a business , a lot of work needed and some new ideas need to be tried , we are fortunate that there will be no relegation this coming season

We will find out now what our true support base actually is ?

So yes we have the RFL to thank , HMRC would not accept our payment promise , it would seem the RFL have been able to convince them they will receive their money as agreed

Exciting times ahead.
We can bring in the new coach and get the squad sorted out.
We will not be running a 23's for 2012 - saving £50k - but will be in 2013.
The club will be re-invented as a community club with a lot of people financially contributing to our well being. Arthurs sudden departure nearly killed us but we are still here, without entering administration, and have a lot to look forward too.
Thank you RFL for advancing next years money, our income streams will be massively increased on recent years and we will be very strong in 2013.
