You're supporting a professional team because they were professional? Did they manage to run in a straight line without falling over too? If they did then I'll support them.

What were you expecting?

Supporting the English side goes without saying for me, but especially when they are playing against a club which systematically cheated for years!

What I ment was the was the way they handled themselves i.e. staying on late to make sure that everyone had the chance to get something signed or have a photo.also slater and widdop gave away their training gear to some young fans

Personally I'll always support the English team over the Aussies, even went along to support Wigan v St.George the other year, which felt wierd.

I've backed Melbourne -4 though. Can't see Leeds beating them with injuries.

Normally I support the English team like last year when they played manly but this year is going to be an exception

I'm on the fence.

For some unknown reason from being a child, Leeds have always been my second team if such a thing exists and in an ideal World they and Wigan would be in every final with Wigan winning. If Wigan aren't in said final then I want Leeds to be and to win it.

However, as Leeds would surpass Wigan (and Bradford for that matter) in winning 4 WCC's I'll be equally happy if Melbourne win.

I'm with Conroy. I would always back the British side, but it would pain me for Wigan's record to go out of the Window. Still, I'm going for Leeds, just. But have changed my mind multiple times.

They will already beat one record tomorrow with the most final appearances.

If Bailey was playing I'd be supporting the Melbourne forwards, he is always surprisingly quiet when he comes up against tough packs.
However, as he is not there to take a good spanking, I'll be happy to see the SL club retain the trophy.

With Ryan Hoffman and Brett Finch playing for Melbourne you would expect Wigan fans to be supporting Melbourne.

With Gareth Widdop playing for Melbourne you would expect Halifax fans to be supporting Melbourne.

But I am influenced by other considerations.

Cameron Smith is the greatest hooker of all time.

Billy Slater may be the greatest full back of all time.

I will be too awe struck by their appearances to want anything more than to see them play at their best. Hoping which side wins should be secondary to hoping that Smith and Slater will perform at their best.

I will watch the game as a neutral and who ever annoys me the most like constant high tackles or holding down etc ill want to lose. May the best team on the night win and hopefully the only talking point is about how good the game was and not about the ref/bad calls etc

If you're watching it on Sky, just turn down the commentary. If any of our officials actually blew for the number of "penalties" identified by Stevo during an average commentary the game would be unwatchable.

This. I genuinely don't mind who wins as long as it's a cracking game.

Had it involved any other NRL team i'd be supporting Leeds. But because I have a lot of family and friends who live in the Melbourne area and are regulars at the Storm I'll be supporting them tonight.
