My gut feeling is we will see a Bulldogs v Storm final

What is going on with the Dragons, they've scored 1 try in 2 games.
I think it will be a Dogs-Manly GF if Brett Stewart stays fit, if not Dogs-Eels.
I dont think the Titans will do anything, the Storm wont be far off but there not the same as previous years, Knights to go out first week. Can just see the Dogs giving El Magic the perfect send off.

The Eels rely too much on Hayne, if he picks up an injury or has a shocker then they won't make it. But having said that if they continue with the form they have been showing lately then they look good for the final

But if anyone can re install belief in the Dragons it's Wayne Bennett.

McIntyre Final Eight System. The McIntyre Final Eight System was devised by Ken McIntyre in addition to the McIntyre Four, Five and Six systems. It is a playoff system of the top 8 finishers in a competition to determine which two teams will play in the Grand Final. The teams play each other over three weeks, with two teams eliminated each week. Teams who finish in a higher position in the competition are given an easier route to the Grand Final.

It is currently the finals series system used by the National Rugby League (since 1999); its first use was by the Australian Football League in 1994. However, starting from the 2000 season, the AFL replaced it with another top 8 system - the same one abandoned by the Australian Rugby League in 1996.

Week 1

1st Qualifying Final:@ 1st vs 8th
2nd Qualifying Final:@ 2nd vs 7th
3rd Qualifying Final:@ 3rd vs 6th
4th Qualifying Final:@ 4th vs 5th
The teams are then ranked depending on whether they won or lost, then on their position on the ladder before the finals. The two lowest ranked losers are eliminated from the finals, whilst the two highest ranked winners progress straight to Week 3.

A key part of an effective MacIntyre system is scheduling. In the first week games must be played in the following order: 4 vs 5, 3 vs 6, 2 vs 7, 1 vs 8. Teams in the first two games are playing for the chance at a bye in the second week of the finals. If the final two games ultimately go as predicted, then the chance at a bye week or the risk of elimination disappears, so those games need to be played last so there is never a situation where two teams know that their result would certainly not matter.


Week 2

1st Semi Final: @ 4th highest ranked winner vs 2nd highest ranked loser
2nd Semi Final: @ 3rd highest ranked winner vs 1st highest ranked loser
The two losing teams are eliminated, the two winning teams progress to Week 3.

Week 3

1st Preliminary Final: 2nd highest ranked winner (from Week 1) vs winner of 2nd Semi Final
2nd Preliminary Final: 1st highest ranked winner (from Week 1) vs winner of 1st Semi Final
The two losing teams are eliminated, the two winning teams progress to Week Four.

Week 4

Grand Final: winner of 1st Preliminary Final vs winner of 2nd Preliminary Final- THIS WILL BE PLAYED @ HOMEBUSH ANZ AUSTRALIA STADIUM SYDNEY.

If Kimmorley is out for the finals then the Dogs wont make the GF IMO, they rely on him and i dont think Ben Roberts will produce every game in the finals. They'll still have a good chance but that's a big loss for the Dogs.
Hopefully they win in week 1 and he's backi intime for week 3.

With kimmorley i think bulldogs-dragons. if kimmorley doesnt make it becomes very hard to pick as they are all fairly good sides. The Titans are very "under the radar" at the minute and could go a long way if prince and co produce.

Yea sure they are, you should stop suggesting and find facts!!!! How can you say 4000 on their best days??? This years attendences have been terrible but not that bad.

Well you see, I use these things in my head called eyes.

If one club posts a crowd of say 15,000.....and then less than a third are in attendance for a roosters match.....I carry the two and divide by pie and work out the roosters have no fans.

diversion away from the panthers

Ive never diverted any attention away from my club and its sh*thouse administration.

Still, we get crowds, produce our own players, hell we might even make the finals in spite of our coach!

Do you reckon the Panthers will beat the Knights Freaky?

i fancy the panthers in that game. didnt they go up to townsville earlier in the season and beat the cowboys convincingly? they are a patchy team with their form but if they can get their full side out they sure pose problems to teams
