Is that the rule?
The other way it’s fine as long as the player jumps from the field of play, I’d assumed that because he jumped from outside the field of play the ball should have been dead when he touched it. |

The ball is in touch if a player jumps from touch and while off the ground touches the ball. |

Most players probably don't know this then.
You always see players try and jump from the field of play and try and bat the ball back in rather than just run into touch and jump up. |

That said as it's Kendall there are no surprises makes it up as he goes along disgraceful official.

If a player jumps into the field from touch and makes contact with the ball then the ball is deemed to be in touch. |
