Eddie Hemmings was making a fair few mistakes as he approached retirement, but my god Bill Arthur is taking it to another level. Getting players mixed up, mispronouncing names, he can't even read the clock properly?

When McCrone was sin binned in that Leeds game, Arthur exclaims that he's been sent to the bin for the last three seconds of the game - but there was over a full minute left? wtf?

i find the whole thing stale and annoying, has been for a few years now. Baz and Tez bring nothing to the party same old sound bites over and over. it really needs an overhaul.

I think Tez has been told to spurt out meaningless stats to make up for his lack of intelligence.

Either that or to make the others look intelligent.

I agree, as a proud Yorkshireman I can still appreciate that our accents do grate on some peoples ears. There must be professional commentators whit a pleasing tone of voice? I also remember a quote from the tennis commentator Dan Maskel “ some times the best thing to say is nothing” its TV we can all see what is happening just the odd interesting stat or explanation of of some decisions is all that’s needed. There are some good broadcasters out there & they don’t need to have a great knowledge of the sport to enhance the pictures we are seeing.

Get Mick Morgan on, at least it’ll be entertaining.

Those of us of a certain age look back fondly to Bill McLaren, possibly the best ever commentator. Yes it was RU but I wish we had someone of his ability and stature instead of the current crop.

Then good old RL family. Any excuse to have a moan.

TBF - It looks like we are doing things slowly by getting rid of Stuart Cummins, and Angela Powers being replaced by Jenna Brooks. Those 2 changes have made an improvement in my view. However, the cull must continue with the commies.

I muted it last night - I have never muted any other sport other than RL, but have done so with RL (which I love) on several occassions.

Having Cummins critique every decision was just ridiculous. God knows who came up with that as a good idea as it never be anything but negative.

Clive Tyldesley did a good job when ITV dabbled with RL and I'd have him back.

Cummings was 100% needed when Stevo was still there. He just didn't understand the laws of the game it was embarrassing.

The current crop are a bit less out of touch but I for one miss having SCummings there to correct the errors and misconceptions which they all still make.

Its crying out for Eddie and Stevos excitement though. The commentary just seems soooo flat.

He could make paint drying sound exciting...….and often did!

They had there chance after wiggy retired unfortunately it's clear sky don't care to much about RL I thought bumbling bill was there to the end of last season it seems he's the cheap RL option throw in a bit of Ben Proe and a little Stuart pyke when the others are busy and bingo



On the plus side Jenna (who wears the trousers) brooks is a million percent improvement on austin powers and they finally got rid of them robots in the credits. Tiny acorns and all that.

I watch a bit of the TV match preview and thereafter mute the match until full time and then pick up the after match comments.

My wife was a Stevo fan so we listened when he was there but she lost all interest after he left.

Would be better paying someone Australians to come over and do it.

We need to get people in who truly understand the modern game. Wells and Carney are decent enough, but the rest are poor. Although, at least Brooks is a huge upgrade on powers

He was nothing but a bigoted old git who despised rugby league and made snidy comments about the game whenever he could. I remember one particularly nasty tackle and his response was "hes obviously been watching too much rugby league"

Rl fans seem obsessed with crowds, commentators and referees but anyway...

Eddie Hemmings used to get a lot of stick but he was an excellent commentator and lead presenter, I actually enjoyed Stevo aswell in their prime they were very entertaining.

Andrew Voss is the best in the business at the moment, doesn’t concentrate on refs calls and is also entertaining

Premier League and EFL fans as well, no?
