I've no issue with him as a player, I think he's consistently very good. But he's clearly failing as the captain and the added pressure is effecting his game

As a side we ran out of Steam. Wide defence was dreadful as it has been since kear left.

What needs happen is to cut out these stupid cheap penalties game after game it crucifies us. The sin binning killed the contest which really was a poor decision by the ref. Navaretre was unlucky to go but I have to say he hit two players off the ball.

Yes....I'm inclined to agree. In many respects I love the family atmosphere, the camaraderie of Michael Carter, the fans and team...but sometimes I feel it's just lacking some a*** kicking...but we don't know, we're not behind the scenes

Summed up nicely. We have to be the dumbest team around, some of the choices we make are ridiculous. It happens way too often.

Special mention tonight to Kyle Wood who seemed to spend half the night rolling backwards after bouncing off their runners. Felt for him, they destroyed him around the ruck.

I must add when the game was coming un done for us, there was no one talking or firing them up. Navarette should of had 10 for the Millington off ball hit, and Batch knew what he was doing and simply got played by Holmes. As a collective playing group who are the players that are stepping forward, I’m not asking for a Farrell or Sinfield, just someone who walks the walk and talks the talk.

50 mins on the clock with wakey taking the ball away from their own line and you could throw a coat over most of our team, says it all for me about players attitude in the second half .

I said it the other day on here and feel after watching that I was in some way not far off...

Just because we won last week there’s the common thought of you can’t change a winning team! Why not? It was a short 5 day turnaround and last week we put a huge defensive effort in last week on a real heavy pitch.

1st half I thought we carried that on to some extent and went in deservedly in front I thought. Problem was second half a few things went against us and Cas raised their tempo and we just couldn’t cope, we looked dead on our feet. The pack who were so impressive last week were rolled over with ease.

I’d love to go back and see what our record is off 5 day turnarounds as I reckon it will be woeful!

What happens now is players will be dropped for poor performances and probably suffer confidence wise where some could have had this week off to keep fresh...

Ill discipline and poor wing defence cost us dearly tonight.

Penalties totally killed us tonight so discipline must be an issue but some strange rulings on sin binning and every 50 50 going one way meant we never stood a chance second half you cant win without the ball and we saw it last 10 mins when childs levelling pen count up

Disappointed. I thought the game was in the balance after the first half but poor discipline cost us the game. Individual brain farts plain and simple. Not sure how Chester can be blamed for that. We hardly had the ball for the first 20 mins of the second half which ultimately turned the game.

Every time they came within 20 metres of our line Cas had a different trick up their sleeve; mainly instigated by McShane (He never played like that for us). For their last try every Cas player across the width of the pitch was running at speed. Whoever the final pass went to would have scored. Our second half display was just the same old boring attacking moves that every other club in Super League must now be aware of.

Agree, if we had fit forwards on the sidelines then they should have been in the 17 to do some of the workload. Short turnaround resulted in having nothing in the tank. CC has blamed some of the players tonight, but he has to take some of the responsibility.

I regret that Chester does not help himself by being a little too confrontational against some supporters. I agree we played well last week but before you start belittling the dissenters you should give the team time to make sure it was not just a one off performance.
I would say the supporters have more reason to fear the recent displays. Chester would be better concentrating on sorting out the problems Wakefield have, which we all know before insulting some supporters.

Congratulations to the coaching team for the capitulation of Wakefield so called rugby club .They should think about calling it a day and go .They can not even get us to play basic rugby two matches on the trot .When Kalepi came to this club he was like a breath of fresh air and looked like on of the best second rowers in S L ?But wait our coaches sald let him play prop . Make no wonder he was giving pens away in second half .he was out of gas . Chester bought 4 forwards in close season why no prop if he new some of our props would not be fit for start of season . You can see why Wigan got ride of Navarretta just a penalty machine with a bad attitude . Over all the pitche there are problems .We need some one there who can sort it out A coach and staff who can teach basic rugby would be a start
