Warrington 'resting' several key players, lost 5 on the bounce in the league, star-man out injured, only a 5 day turnaround after a mentally and physically grueling game, on the pop until yesterday.

Salford won 5 on the bounce, a 24 or more point victory will see us go 2nd, playing some great rugby, Super League's leading try scorer, possible Man Of Steel, 13 day rest, a fully fit squad.

Can't see anything but a Wire win!

Could go that way, especially as Salford, against most expectations, won both the matches at the HJ this season.

Wire players deservedly on the beer Saturday and Sunday after a great win. Probably had quite a few at the homecoming parade on Monday as well.
If Salford dont win this comfortably then they cant expect to make much of an impression in the play offs.

Despite beating Wire twice at their place this season when they had no excuses about turnarounds, alcohol etc. Excellent logic.

Terrible game, although a poor performance was always likely from Warrington, and Kendall has been rubbish as usual. On this showing, Salford won’t be causing much trouble if they do make the top 5.

The Warrington fans have sung more about St Helens than they have their own team, a bit strange, especially when the main trophy is still to be contested.

Tough 1st half there. Would like to see Burrell get a chance ball in hand. Was quite explosive player for England but couple of times iv seen him for Warry he's not had a sniff of any space. Big unit but very fast with it

Warrington have shown themselves to be a very poor excuse for a team of rugby league players. To be humiliated by a team of also rans, that depends heavily upon four Antipodean imports to score points -- Jackson Hastings, Krisnan Inu, Tuimoala Lolohea, and Kenneth Sio -- shows that Warrington's Challenge Cup victory was a miracle and they won't trouble St Helens even if they do make it to Old Trafford.

Why is this imbecile not banned yet?

That was awful to watch but job done for Salford. I know Warrington have been on the pi*s all week and had a few missing but they continue to look dreadful in Super League. I don’t think they’ll finish in the top 3 now and, while they won the cup, I think their chances of winning the big one are very slim.

Salford will need to play far better than that as well. It’s hard to look past a Wigan vs St Helens Grand Final. As I said before I found the Warrington fans to be a bit embarrassing tonight and I’m no Saints fan either.

Salford aren't far off. Untidy tonight but not a lot else wrong. I reckon they'll make the playoffs and rattle some cages.

PS. That team of "also rans" put 46 points on Catalans earlier this season as you well know, as well as doing them over easily at home. Maybe best to leave it there eh faux Frenchie before you embarass yourself any more?

Scrappy first half but a better second with some decent tries scored. Always going to be tough for Wire with the quick turnaround, but for Salford they hold no fear of Warrington. Beaten them twice previously when the quick turnaround wasn't an excuse. Quite happy to still be considered nothing but a play-off distraction to fans of 'bigger' clubs, and one pretend fan of a considerably worse French club.(46-0 and 40-14 against your club this season to us also-rans)

Whatever happens, it's been a good season for us, and after the years of battling to stave-off relegation in whatever form, it's nice to be relaxed watching Salford for a change.

I can not understand why both teams that played on Saturday in the cup have to play Thursday and Friday they both should have played Saturday or Sunday other teams should have played Thursday and Friday no matter who was at Wembley the other teams have had a fortnight of

What in heaven's name was "good to watch" about Salford last night? The sight of Tuimoala "Fatso" Lolohea waddling around the ground?

Salford won't be causing much trouble IF they do make the top 5, just tell me who exactly IF we make the top 5 we have to worry about, have we not played any decent teams yet ? who are these teams we need to ourselves over ? are we still to play the Roosters and Melbourne ? or just some super league sides most of which we have handed them there s.

Because "this imbecile" is one of the most astute analysts of rugby league in the northern hemisphere. The truth sometimes hurts, but it would be better for you to respect other people's talents and opinions rather than denigrating them with cheap and foolish outbursts, in the manner of Donald Trump.

The fact is that Salford is going nowhere in 2019 as far as silverware is concerned. It just doesn't have the playing roster to make it to Old Trafford.
