| I was so surprised with Wakefield’s lack of fight at our place Thursday night. I expected a tough game but they didn’t look up for it at all and that must be concerning. I look at their fixtures and it’s tough to see where the next win comes from with some real swings in teams form. I don’t think they’ll need too many wins as I’d still have London as faves for the drop but it could go to that last day.

| On form probably Wakefield as they aren’t even close to winning a game at the moment and their fixture list is the toughest although London still have that points difference problem that could still be costly.
A week off now for all could change what we see performance wise from any of those teams. Hudds and London probably would like to keep the momentum going from their wins, the other a good time to regroup.

It could. But it might also be another team who goes down as a result of that game.
Say Wakefield or London are safe by then, but the other team need to win to finish above Leeds/Huddersfield/Hull KR. It'll be a tense end to the season at the bottom.

If Wakey are safe by the final game and London need to win to leapfrog Leeds then I expect to see Wakey send out the u19’s.
Will be interesting to see what lineup Saints send to Leeds the week before the CC Final.

Thanks for compiling the fixtures!
I think points on the board are crucial at this stage. One big performance each could be enough to get Wakefield and Hudds over the line. Like the rest of the strugglers, they aren’t very good but they do have 6 goes to deliver it. A battering at Saints next time out could just about bring Wakey’s points difference back into play vs the bottom two, but really they and Hudds are effectively three points clear of us and London.
A lot will depend on a few key fixtures within the group - and, as the season winds down, what other opponents have to play for. For example, our final game at Salford looks better for us if they’re already certain of being in or out of the play-offs.
At some point I still expect Leeds to remember they are Leeds and win a couple more - but i’ve felt like that for a while and time is running out.
We (Hull KR) are at least are willing to admit we’re up against it this time. If we can stay positive, without burying our head in the sand, we’ve got a chance, but Smith has a job on to sort our psychology as much as our play. In contrast London seem to have plenty of bounce. Loser of our game against them goes down would be my guess at this stage. And that might come down to injuries to key players, and rub of the green. The tension at Craven Park probably wouldn’t help our cause, so being at home will be a double-edged sword.
On a side note, i’m generally in favour of P&R, but to have nearly half of SL players livelihoods hanging by a thread isn’t great when we’re trying to support better mental health. I think the cancelling contracts on relegation thing needs to be looked at again, and at least softened. For example, a % cut on sliding scale for higher earners.

Probably will knowing us. Like I said in the Leeds/Hull match thread they’re actually a few on the Leeds board that don’t think we’re too bad and are in a much better place than we were before Sinfield took over, the level of delusion is strong. Others are either blaming Hetherington who isn’t even responsible for the on field matters now since Sinfield came in or blaming Agar who is just another fall guy for Sinfield. Anything but question the real problem and that is Sinfield.
We’ve had over 12 months and played 36 games since he came in and we still don’t have a full time top quality head coach in place at the end of it. Took him 4 months to appoint one and fell out with him within 15 games and again a lengthy gap of not finding another one. Other clubs don’t have this problem hiring a new head coach yet Sinfield seems to make it a lengthy several month drawn out affair and then got it wrong when he did.

He's probably guilty of believing the praise from the South stand and wondering just where his Knighthood went.
Furner needed more time, plus 3 decent forwards, to have any chance of competing.
In a cruel plot twist, it looks like Trinity will probably help Leeds avoid the drop, unthinkable in the early part of the season but, close to a racing certainty now.

You certainly have, like Gotcha who is Leeds own ‘Mr Deluded’ who reckons you’re way better than your league position suggests. Or others who reckon your roster is way better than bottom of the league, but how many of that roster get in to other SL teams? Not many at all.

On the contrary, Leeds going down would be the best thing to ever happen to the Championship and Sir Kev can claim to have single handedly raised the level of the 2nd tier.

Good idea that, send three crap clubs down and promote three other crap clubs in fact why stick there, lets include Leeds and KR two more crap clubs, then SL really will be buzzing next season

On the crapness scale, 10 being really crap, 1 being a bit crap, Wakey are at least an 8. I struggling to think of a single redeeming feature of the Wakefield Club.
Wakey were good in the 1960's I suppose, and I like Fifita, he's good.

He is the worst for it. Constantly during and after games under McDermott everything was dreadful and we were lucky and you’d barely get one positive comment out of him about performances even when we were winning trophies, when we finished 2nd in the league table in 2017 it was only because all the other clubs were poorer. Now every game he’s Mr Positive and saying performances are much better and we deserve to be higher and everything ok.
He’s one of those that I mentioned that thought the grass would be greener when McDermott left and hated the guy. These people would have constant weekly stories of being told by people/players at the club that were always heavily critical of McDermott and Hetherington, never stopping to question the agenda of these people whose main aim seemed to be to undermined BM and GH and get stories out there into the fanbase that painted them in a bad light whilst giving all the credit to certain guys.....guys we now conveniently see getting roles at the club including most of Hetherington’s role - who if anybody thinks wanted to give up all that responsibility midseason just like that are well and truly kidding themselves. It’s true when Sinfield said the club was rotten but those responsible for that aren’t the ones Leeds fans think. Those senior players have been politicking their way into roles for several years

If Sinfield didn’t give HKR Garbutt who’s been a big performer this season and then Parcell who got MOM on debut vs Hull then HKR could easily be at least a couple of wins worst off right now which would probably be too much left to make up and have all the other teams safe including Leeds. Masterstroke.
