seriously i felt Smith misused his position to influence players and that it undermined international the competition ( along with getting rid of GB).

he's not though.it's the thought process of every English (and some non English) top level playerthat they want to play for the best international team. and with the exception of tyke I'd wager good money that almost all of that squad would play for England if they were playing well enough and got the call.

They've actually chosen low grade OZ based players and American RU players over true USARL and AMNRL players who have played for the USA in the past. Joke of a squad.

Don't know why people make comments like this. Stuff like "qualifying for Wales, granny must have had a caravan in Prestatyn etc...." . This guy obviously qualifies to play for Ireland, otherwise he wouldn't be in the squad. I think it's quite insulting to take the pi55 out of someone's heritage and pride in taking part in a World Cup.
