| Dress codes!!!! Are you for serious! Last year with the sun if you wore a rugby top you were overdressed. If you dont have a rugby top on they may question whether you are at the correct event!
Pubs - There are very few near the ground. Picadilly is a good half hour walk from the ground-Top up before you go. There are bars in the ground and an area ouside the ground where you can sit down to eat and drink.
Enjoy it its great, especially if your team wins

| Try and get to Sinclairs Oyster Bar. Its a Sam Smith's pub near the catherdral. £1.50 a pint - there's usually loads of RL fans sat outside in a decent sized beer garden.

If planning a night out in Manc, you wont get in many places in a rugby shirt.
during the day you will be fine anywhere in rugby tops. as someone else said, there is nothing near the ground so do the pubs in town first, otherwise you are drinking in the stadium or in the fanzone. The fan zone at the ground was pretty good in the sun last year, hopefully will be the same this time around.

Just a few bits of info this year the Greater Manchester City Games will fall on the same weekend as Magic Weekend. On Saturday the Great City Games will be taking place in city centre Manchester last year over 20,000 turned out to watch, so expect quite a few more people in Manchester and on Sunday the BUPA Greater Manchester Run and I think attracted over 30,000 runners.

The good news is the Metrolink now runs up to the Etihad

| Are you able to buy tickets for the middle tier at around the half way line? The unreserved tickets just seem to be lower tier and the only upper tier more expensive tickets are just the corners?

| Question for the Mancunians amongst us. Can I buy a ticket through to Eastlands in Warrington, or do I have to buy a tram ticket when I get to Manchester? Also, where can you get on a tram to the stadium? On the limited number of occasions I have used the trams I seem to have got on the wrong one.

You'll have to buy a tram ticket in Manchester. Catch the tram from Piccadilly station straight to Etihad Campus.

You could buy a Wayfarer ticket, which allows you to use Buses (both in Warrington and Manchester), Trains and Trams all day.
Group £21 - Up to 2 adults and 2 children. Children must be aged under 16. Proof of age may be required.
Adult £11
Concession £6 – For children 5 – 15 years (inclusive) or adults aged 60 and over. No concessionary pass or permit is needed but proof of age may be required.
More information at www.tfgm.com/journey_planning/Ti ... farer.aspx
I will probably get a Duo ticket to make my train cheaper and then buy the Metrolink return ticket separately for £2.90.
The Duo gives you one return train ticket, plus a second for half the price when two adults travel together and return the same day with Northern Rail on selected routes.

Thanks, much appreciated. Will work it all out later in the week, may be cheaper to get normal tickets with us having railcards.

You may well be able to buy a train ticket that includes metriolink through travel to Metrolink Etihad Campus. Whenever I travel home from Manchester Airport I buy a through ticket from the Airport Train Station to Heaton Park Metrolink station (train to Piccadilly, changing to tram at Piccadilly). It's cheaper than buying separate tickets, but you have to ask for them at the ticket office as none of the machines sell them. I don't know if you can buy through tickets from train stations outside Greater Manchester though.
