I'm not sure I place much weight on Wayne Rooney's ability to critically analyse the statistics around attendance at RL games and Sky viewing figures but aside from that, a well written essay with some uncomfortable home truths.

How many nominations there were,and who won in 2011 and 2012 ?

Its done by the Sport Industry Group. There are quite a few different categories of award usually with 4 or 5 on the short list.
There are 18 judges with a few prominent people like Peter Kenyon, Tanni Grey-Thompson and Karen Brady. But really all you need to know is that John Inverdale is Chairman of the judges.

I don't sit well with the lies and lack of values that pour out of HQ. A transparent franchise system with integrity and values that nurtures growth may not be a bad thing, but we don't get that. We have inclusion and exclusion, with liquid rules/morals to suit.

As long as we have that I am convinced we deserve something better, and will take every opportunity to highlight the shortcomings of our governing body and the people it employs because unless we address them we will never be the best we can be.

Couldn,t get too excited what MW wrote, it read more like a personal Blog than something that would give confidence of the way the game is run. Some of it sounded propagandist, but I should imagine SKY are quite happy with 30% increase in audience.

I would point out the host of cases off-field,a chairman banned,financial matters at clubs,players seeking tribunals,clubs liquidated etc. all in the last 2 years,but as it seems to be a message to get more fans to the International games to be played shortly I won't list the entire catalogue.A few more armchair fans doesn't make me feel any better.
