Just waiting for official confirmation but this is superb news for the loyal supporters, players and staff of the Bradford Bulls. Those people very much do deserve to stay in SL.

The SL clubs voting to remain at 14 and voting to allow the Bulls to stay in SL have pretty much guaranteed your SL status, what happens in 23 months will be interesting, as that is when your position will be at risk

I'd have thought that also, but why would Gerry Sutcliffe make the comment about further negotiations taking place if it was all cut and dried? Might just be a communications blip but seems odd.

I'd suggest to cover the RFL s blushes with their earlier ' No condititional offers ' announcement, when in truth it isnt their decision

Of course it's the RFL's decision. What, you want to move on to some predetermination conspiracy / cover-up now? And of course the RFL would consult with and give due weight to especially the views of all the other members of SL. Wouldn't it be rather odd if they didn't?

Therefore the company which was granted the SL licence still exists. It merely now has a new holding company. This would allow the RFL to continue to grant SL status to the Bulls (after all, nothing has changed on that front). If that is the case then what do they mean by their comments that in July last year SL clubs were warned of stiffer action were they to face financial irregularity.

So really the licensing process for certain clubs excludes any recent historical financial meltdowns. A club can go bust, effectively just change it's B.O.D and simply carry on with a license.

That just shows how weak the game is. Or specifically the lack of genuine quality of clubs not only vying for a SL spot but actually in SL itself.

The next round of licensing will have zero credibility.

As long as the at risk clubs can remain solvent, all they will do is point the finger at Bradford
