other than that a load of twaddle! lose clare balding from most sports she presents including ours, you will lose plenty of viewers

Jealousy is a terrible thing. He aspires to reach the heights that Clare is already at. As mentioned earlier he is a helmet.

I think the sainsburys thing was supposed to be a little witty joke by Kelner, but since it sounds sod all like Clare Balding and is a really really sh|t joke, I'm not entirely sure.

The Guardian is just a negative rag for left leaning imbeciles. Rather like the Daily Mail and Express are depressing rags, albeit in their cases aimed at the intellectually challenged women of middle England.

Kelner regularly talks up RL in this column and in his appearances on Fighting Talk. Maybe people should read things properly before yet another knee jerk reaction.

Having read it, I can't see what all the fuss on here is about, (1st paragraph aside), says basically she's a great presenter, researches things well and has worked hard to get where she is.

I think he's spot on.
There's no doubting her knowledge or desire for the sport, I just wish she'd relax a bit.
You could imagine having a conversation with her, and leaving to wonder what you'd done to annoy her.

Clare is the perfect foil in my opinions, she's a person learning the game which the other people also new to the game can relate to, she brings up things not relevant to the analytical approach of getting coaches and players and people who know the game in. She'll bring up a daft looking haircut or the way a man gets up after being steam rolled, she's lovely and enjoyable to watch. If they drop her from the RL coverage i'll petition the BBC but leave her alone, she is the perfect balance and a breath of fresh air.
Me personally i like the Basil and Nobby bits because i understand the game but i do recognise her contribution and i feel comfortable watching it with other people because she 'brings them in'.

I know it goes against the grain around here but I agree with him, imo she always comes off as trying a bit too hard and she's had a sense of humor bypass . On the whole though she's very versatile and does a better job than most out there.
