He's playing well, but I don't rate him as much as Luke Robinson who is also playing well! I think Luke Robbo deserves another chance after his previous performances in an England shirt. Both Henderson and Robbo are better than Mcllorum IMO.

So you don't mind that a Scottish international with Scottish parents who spent most of his life in Australia and doesn't play in England has been selected for England?

I personally don't care, if he improves the side pick him...just a shame Manu has been overlooked, and I'd hope they've at least asked Dobson if he would be interested.



Milner & Clark at Cas are both better than McIlorum too but they aren't even in the Knights squad (from what I saw at first glance).

No. As with Danny Brough, I don't mind an English born player playing for England. We all know that the Scottish/Welsh parentage thing is a sham to create more competitive "national" RL teams in provinces where top-level RL isn't played. Our main international team shouldn't suffer because of this sleight of hand.

Agree Manu would add something to the squad if you don't mind his eligibility. Also add Houghton at Hull to the long list of English hookers better than McIlorum.

Always though Henderson was a decent Hooker at Bradford, was confused when they let him go.

Always been a big believer that this pick your country stuff is a farce. Would rather roll out 13 english lads and get mullered then a team with aussies, scots and Kiwis and put up a better fight.

Henderson and Brough should both continue to play for Scotland and improve their national team.

It's people that think like that being given positions of power that has stopped both the English RL and football teams from competing.

Most of the top teams in every sport have players from other countries representing them and when it's in the rules and makes your team better - you do it.

Its about time they brought in a rule once you play for one country you stick to that country.

McIlorum has been the second best British hooker in the league behind Roby so far this year. He's had his critics at Wigan but everyone who wrote him off has been eating their words because he's been outstanding. He ran rings round Catalans on Sunday and was the best player on the pitch against Leeds. The two biggest games of the season for Wigan so far and he was the stand out player in both.

Is Henderson the fella who made his debut for Bradford against Saints on Sky, after a video interview with him aired prior to the game said his strongpoint was his defence: who then turned around and ran away when Cunningham ran directly at him?

I disagree, a lot of talk is about the pride that comes from wearing the National Strip, if you can swap that the strip every year then wear is the pride?

If you decide your playing for Scotland then you shouldn't be able to change your mind years later, if you have dual nationalities or have parents etc from different countries then fair play choose.

But once you've chosen you shouldn't be able to switch, a lot of sports have this rule.

But I don't see the problem people have with players who don't have caps for other countries then playing for another country like Chase in RL then the likes of KP, Trott etc in cricket.

Problem was Chase had played for Kiwi's as a under - 21 player (if I remember right) which is technically choosing your side.

Correct player, however incorrect game it was Leeds at Headingley and I think it was Ryan Bailey who ran at Henderson Other than that he had a pretty solid debut and played a big role in our end of season run in.

as for ian henderson..apart from playing for scotland last year...he's bloody 30 anyway..hows that building for the world cup??
