So with 5 matches left of this season the Championships clubs still don't know what they are playing for this season

Is there going to be relegation ?

Is anybody getting promoted ?

Are we having one league next year ? , or two ?

personally im waiting to see what comes of the Parliamentary investigation/war crimes tribunal and 2'000 individual civil action cases the halifax fans are calling for, that and the storming of red hall with bayonets


tbf i think Lewis and co are too busy seeing their s at the moment to deal with it.

Next year could be fun, no Toulouse and the Championship clubs vote not to accept Crusaders.

Isn't there a match to win, a league to win and a trophy to collect? Don't those things matter?

It cracks me up when teams like Wakefield and others have fretted about losing their license. What does it matter after all, they would still have the Championship GF and Northern Rail to look forward to?

The reward you look for in sport shouldn't be some kind of handout from a media company.

No where has anyone stated that these don't matter so this is an irrelevant, pathetic diversion!

I think fans wanting to know what's going on for next season, and clubs for that matter, is vital and not mutually exclusive as to knowing what is going on this season. There is a lot of confusion and this latest bout of super league licensing has merely added to it. There needs to be some clarification.

A contest between teams playing to the same rules , when's the last time we saw that in RL ?

Richie - I couldn't agree more. I am sure Crusaders are looking forward to life in the Championship..and Wakefield are desperately disappointed to miss out on the opportunity...

I'm sure Crusaders are dissapointed to realise they don't have the infrastructure to compete at the top level. I'm sure Wakefield are relieved that SL agree with them in feeling that they do have the infrastructure to compete in the top division. I'm sure both teams know exactly what they will be playing for this season and next - to get a win in their next match.

Does asking a question about next season really confuse you that much as to the motive of such a question? Honestly, you've chosen to take this in a completely different context than it should be and it's irrelevant. Fans and teams are confused about next years championship, it needs to be sorted out sooner rather than later.

Forget Starbug's awkward wording and move on to something substantial for a change.

Starbug has frequently complained in the past that the sport is largely meaningless to him without a chance for promotion to SL based only on on-field performance. I doubt his wording was awkward at all.

If you read my original post properly you will see I said ChampionshipS and asked if there will be promotion and relegation , there is more to RL than SL and a few clubs at the top of THE Championship

We have clubs at the bottom of THE Championship not knowing if there will be relegation , and clubs in Championship 1 not knowing how many if any clubs will be promoted
