Perhaps a legal question but having signed a two year contract to play for Crusaders does the decision to withdraw the application for Super league invalidate this. If so a very experienced centre may become available.

I'm not sure where he stands legally but judging by his twittering activities he's not at all happy about it. I can see him becoming available very soon.

Frankly if I were a Crusaders player - given many of them are already owed significant amounts in unpaid wages by the club - I would be packing my bags and telling them where to stick what's left on my contract.

I'd certainly be surprised if some of the antipodean contingent didn't take this as a signal to book a flight home.

Maybe he can put his contract up for sale on Ebay, like he has done with most of his other belongings related to RL.

I think most SL contracts have a get out clause in regard to dropping down a division.

So Mr Senior and the others might find the contracts nil and void anyway.

They will be valid for this season but who will want to see them out remains to be seen.

Surely anyone signing a contract with any club beyond this season would have a stipulation regarding the SL licences?

i hear hes not the only one going ape on twitter about this. according to a rugby league news group on facebook they were not informed of the clubs decision to drop out.

Fair play to Richie Mathers, Kirk Dixon and Lee Briers amongst others who have expressed their support for the Crusaders players and especially the shabby way they have been treated in finding out the news.

He's hardly gone ape though, has he. Though it does seem clear he'll now be looking elsewhere.

The ones going ape are the pathetic pricks hurling all sorts of abuse his way - sad, sad people who wouldn't dare whisper those things within 100 yards of him in person. Senior's one of those players you love to hate if he's playing for the opposition, but would love to have on your team. I might have not liked him when he played for Leeds, but you have to respect his career and his playing ability.

This is fantastic motivation for the SL bottom club to dig in and grind out a few results in the rest of the season...

But, I'll bet if the Crusaders didn't withdraw their flawed and unstable application they would still have been issued a licence by the RFL. All I hope is that the guys who have put their bodies on the line all year to be treated like complete jokes, get a fair crack at legal settlements (hopefully aided by The RFL) and deals with other clubs, SL or otherwise.

As a player he is finished. He has been a good servant to the game although he will be best remembered by me for selling all his stuff on eBay and getting caught out humping some slapper whilst on tour in 2008.

Stop being silly. Do you go around telling everybody what you think about them to their face? It's neither illegal or wrong to hold an opinion about somebody and not saying it to their face. In many instances it can actually be advisable.

think when people are referring to senior going ape they are refering to the first quote in frosties post above. It was removed from twitter (presumably by senior himself) shortly after originally appearing.

Just watching Senior on Sky Sports News saying that Crusaders sold their vision to him! Yeah right! More like they offered him the most money and the match ball to sell on Ebay every week! I hope they are both made to honour the contract, just to keep him away from Wakefield.

From a legal standpoint it's impossible to tell without seeing the contract.

If it were ruled valid however, he could possibly just breach the contract anyway. No court would force KS to play for Crusaders, they would just get damages.

I thought + forgive me if I'm wrong, but I thought with Super League being a seperate entity, all contracts were specifically for + registered with SL. If a club is no longer in SL the contract becomes null + void???

KS will be a free agent,he will have signed to play for the crusaders as a SL club now they no longer are it will make his contract null and void,ie his contract will have been a SL contract.
