| Hold the important mid season International game in a small-mid sized stadium with NO Rail Links. Make sure the Biggest Team in the Game are playing on the same day at he other end of the country and make sure the International kick off time clashes with the First England Football world Cup game. RFL you are a bunch of -wits and morons, you are inept, stupid and utterly brainless. We'd be better letting the RFU promote the game it could hardly worse.
No wonder our game gets NO publicity, we hardly help ourselfs. The game should have been pushed with a massive publicity blitz, full on ad campaign on bill posters countrywide, Commercial Radio, magazines like Mens Health FHM etc, full page ads in the tabloids, poster ad's in Gym's and fittness clubs like David Lloyd etc, and the game should have been taken to a stadium in London (Stoop?) Newcastle (St James's Park? ) Liverpool or Nottingham. Think small and we are percieved as small town, small game.

| In the recent past has the GB(Eng) V France games had lots of publicity and big crowds? Just a thought
Why play the game 200 miles from the RL heartland(London)? They play the Aus V NZ game down here because there are a good number of Antips living in the capital-Im not sure the French or even the northern RL exile numbers living in the south compare.
Doesn't the Football KO after the RL game has finished- This is an opportunity for a good night out. At the Stoop next week we have Skolars v York, Quins v Leeds then the football on the screens

| An easy promotion should have been to have an England theme on Sky Sports with the RL then the football straight after, so that we grab a few football fans before the World Cup game and maybe get in a few bars and clubs outside the heartlands.
The football should have been put on the screen at the LSV too so people who live a bit further away might not miss the start of the football.
Playing the Quins-Leeds game on the same day at the same time is lunacy.

| I made my choice, a trip to London it is - I dont care if england are playing football a the same time, I'd choose rugby league every time and usually England RL are more important than Leeds RL but not for this meaningless game
£10 for an international in a relatively small stadium shows how little quality and stature this game has in the eyes of the RFL

But the footy's on ITV isn't it Jonny, so can't see how that'd work? Let's face it tho, the RFL are proven champions at shooting themselves full in both feet.
If I'm being honest, there are NO pubs or bars down here, or many up there I'd imagine, that'll have anything other than football on the brain and on their TVs all day next Saturday. In fact, many places have plans to show past England footy games, rather than other live sport, such is the hype surrounding the World Cup.

| People bang on about how we need a strong international game etc and yet when it comes to the crunch not many will put their hands in their pockets and support it. How many people will attend this game from outside a 20 mile radius of Leigh ? The fact is that to many fans SL is now the pinnacle of the game and that is their priority. That's entirely up to them and good luck to them, but we can't have it both ways.
My own personal view is that it is not up to England or the RFL to improve things, the only way that it can happen is for the French to get their act together and start producing an international team worthy of the name and which will provide meaningful competition. The RFL have an obligation to the home countries but, apart from providing a platform for the French teams to improve, they should not be responsible for the development of France internationally. So long as the game in France remains as pi55 poor below Les Catalans as it currently is then nothing will change.

No contest for me Double header at the Stoop, following my team York RL. Tickets and train fare booked weeks ago, I'm guessing there will be 6000 ish at the Stoop, Quins, Leeds, York and London Skolars fans all denied the chance to watch the important mid season International. What a disgrace. We bleat about not getting any media exposure and wonder why?? There will be 10,000 fans watching the game at a mid sized stadium, why should the media bother with us? Twice as many watched Bramham Horse Trials today! The RFL has got to start projecting the game onto a bigger stage at bigger venues and pushing the game in the mass media to raise awareness of International RL.

So you think it'd be better with 10,000 fans in a large stadium
Bottom line is not many people are that bothered about us playing the French , even the RFL arent that excited or they would have cancelled the SL program
And yes you are correct , playing on the same day as the England footy game is just plain stupid , I am no great football fan anymore , but I will not be attending the LSV because I would then struggle to make it to the pub to get a decent seat to watch the football

Pity it's not being played in London, Barry McKenzie would come along to watch in his 'ABE' T shirt (Anyone but England)

| was seriously thinking of going to the international ..making a day of it ,few beers , dinner out n the like ,n then find there is no railway station within any decent traveling distance...without getting mullered for taxis...
Nice one RFL ...What happened to traveling ecologically on public transport ?
And (please don't take this the wrong way Leigh fans cause aint having a go at you..)..but go on the LSV site and click on getting there and you get no info on how to access the stadium by public transport but mearly a series of routes by road...
Not good ...

| Why do people always feel the need to find something to complain about? Why should our game not clash with football its nothing to do with our sport, and the games dont even clash anyway there just on the same day.
People want a decent international game but thats never going to happen without the support of the fans. The stadiums a good choice in terms of size and quality, it is a bit poor the poverty stricken town of Leigh doesnt even have a train station for travelling fans but there isnt too many suitable stadiums in the heartlands to choose from, Warrington perhaps, but all in all credit to the RFL for hosting the international mid season, more of these is what the game needs.
