| no better than Ellis or Burgess today but what he is is DIFFERENT.
I would love to see his stats today. No errors and more ofloads than the rest of the pack put together i think.
He really asks questions of the defence, if you go for the big hit and miss he can spin create a gap and then offload. Alternatively if you commit 3 or 4 players to the tackle it creates gaps. As an impact player he really made things happen today and with Tompkins or Eastmond buzzing around him will be a very potent attacking weapon.
He did very well today and hopefully can do the same next week at his home ground.

| He certainly put Morley to shame. Very impressed with his power and offloads. Don't think the Aussies quite knew how to handle him...

| Probably my man of the match today
Ran in hard and attracked defenders
Offloaded at the right time instead of throwing it aimlessly
Tackled well
Will be key along with Burgess if England are to win next week

| Had an exceptional game i thought and like you say it helped that he's so different in sheer size to all the other lads. The Aussies didn't really know what to do with him which was helped by the fact they'll have seen little of him.
The Souths fans must be looking forward to Burgess's hits next year! Was it Brett White the no14 who he hammered twice? He didn't know what had hit him.

| He really put his hand up today and made an impact when he was on the field. I'd defiantly have him playing next week, maybe off the bench so he can make the same impact he did today.

| Crabtree was Englands best forward I was really disappointed with JP in attack but once again faultless in defence.

| Must admit I was one of his biggest doubters, he showed up well today. Like to see him go in with a bit more agression, thought his offloading was superb.
He will certainly be on the team sheet next week.

You're having a laugh (I hope). Unless you're Carvell's Granny, there is no excuse for even thinking this. Ok then, while we're at it, how about Mauri Fasawotshisname at Saints. Yeah, forget Graham, Crabtree and Morley. Stick those two in the front row.

The BBC went on about Tomkins and Burgess, I think that Tomkins deserved the plaudits, but for me Crabtree was a revelation (I must admit I shuddered when I saw him on the team-sheet) but Eastmond was also key to the second half.
Smith has to go with Eastmond in the centres and Smith on the wing, stick with Tomkins and Maguire in the halves.
As to the forwards, Crabtree and Graham stood out as props, Ellis and Burgess were the pick of the second row. Damn did Morely and Peacock have a quiet game. I also think Roby needs a hooker on the bench to interchange with - starting with Eastmond will solve that.
