Heard some games might be on sky but is there any way to find out which/ how many?

2 NRL games a week on sky, I would imagine State of Origin is too.

Only 2 NRL games a week on Sky? That is a very poor deal for rugby league fans. Premier Sports used to show 8 games a week.

If you add the super league games to your 8 that would be 10 or more games a week do you not do any thing else

Two games a week will do me, means you don't have to pay for Premier Sports as well so saving a little money.

You are forgetting that the NRL are launching there own streaming service. They wouldn't allow any broadcaster to show 8 games per week as they need to drive subscriptions for there own service.

maybe if they stopped showing the toothless dragons games,they might have room for more nrl.

I heard the cost is £125 per year, can anyone confirm this and do we get ALL the NRL games and SOO? and the NRL GF?

I entered my email address a while back but havn't heard anything, I think the message said something like thanks for getting in early. So I assumed they were waiting for numbers and prices ?

Due to launch on the 14th or 15th feb I believe, I think that price quote was an estimate based on a similar product the AFL sell. I don't imagine it will be too far away from that, I will definitely be buying it if you have the ability to replay every game whenever you want.

Not as much depth as Premier's coverage but better than I expected. No mention of how much the deal is worth? Would be interesting to compare it to the SL deal.

Marwan Koukash raised an interesting point on twitter regarding this.
Where has the money for this deal come from out of Sky's overall budget? What has made way for them to bid/acquire these rights?
More rugby is great for us but could this deal have eaten into their budgeted allocation for rugby league as a whole, meaning they have less to offer SL next time around?

3 is better than I first though, but still well short of PS.

It's possible that it is tied up in a broader package amongst other sports and events. I have never understood Sky they make some really bizarre decisions, a few years ago they bought the rights for India's tour of New Zealand in the Cricket but only broadcast one of the limited overs games, they were showing Premier League years of soccer AM repeats instead.

Similarly with this deal I would be amazed if they don't actually have the rights to all of the matches, I don't buy the idea that the NRL have held back 5 league matches a week to offer a cheaper package, but still include all the rep and finals matches.

I hope they will have the NRL full-time highlights show but I'm not holding my breath.
