| Might be getting a bit ahead of myself, but think Wakey have hit the straps at the right time, 4 wins in a row and if we beat kr next week then we'll be clear favourites for the 8.
If we do sneak in then given that hudds, Leeds and saints have all been scalped in the past 4 weeks - I think we've shown that we can mix it up with the big boys and will go in with no fear.
Still, a lot of rugby to be played before then but next week is massive for both clubs.

| 4 trys from the ex hudds players between them .
Captain Kirmond has been playing like a possessed man moat of the season. Line breaks, busts, strong defence and can score plenty.
Hope he gets some recognition for his form on the international scene.

You really think he's international standard? I'm not saying he's not, I don't know

| I think that he has been improving through the whole season for us. He has it all in his locker and looks physically and mentally to be in the right place.
He shouldn't be a shoe in as the competition for a int second row spot is tough but on the form he's showing I think he's putting his hand up to be considered.
It's becoming more regular to see Kirmond bust tackles and break the line ( again today). I thought he was good before but must admit that even I am surprised he is in such good consistent form.

| Only 2 or 3 overseas playing in the current good run.
Good to see Agar giving Washbrook a good run at 13.

And he's doing a fantastic job - one of our most consistent performers.
We've also seen Kyle Trout, Lucas Walshaw and Danny Cowling come through from the U20's - something else that we were told Agar wouldn't do.
Good times down at BV at the mo - about bloody time!

Well you can only judge a coach on his previous decisions.
I was amazed Washy followed Agar to Wakefield as he'd always shifted him about and never gave him game time at 13, makes you wonder who was picking the side.

I think you have a piont there Sheldon.
Plenty of folk have hinted at interference from above at FC, but who knows ?
We're not getting carried away but we're certainly having some fun at the mo.

| Hull KR - Wakefield (H), Wigan (H), London (A).
Bradford - Huddersfield (A), Hull FC (H), Catalan (A).
Wakefield - Hull KR (A), Widnes (H), Salford (A)
Salford - Wigan (A), Leeds (A), Wakefield (H)
Looking at the fixtures for the four that can get forth spot, makes it interesting. Wakefield have the easier games but they have to play two teams that are fighting for the eighth place also. All pans down to Hull KR vs Wakefield this weekend, the winner will take eighth IMO, as I cant see Salford beating Wigan and that will rule them out altogether. However, Huddersfield blip in form could suffer them dearly with them playing Bradford, and if Bradford win and Wakefield win, Bradford will take eighth spot for the time being, but with them playing Hull Fc and Catalan, and Wakefield playing Widnes and Salford, I can see Wakefield taking it in the long haul.. if they beat Hull KR.

| Glad to see Agar doing well. I think the Hull job was just too big for him at the time (not to mention the rumoured interference from certain board members) and now that he's gone somewhere with no real expectation and more freedom to do his thing we are seeing he's not so bad afterall.

Don't kid yourself. We had a couple of matchwinning runs during his tenure and won feckall, got smashed in the playoffs too.

Give the guy a break, he did a decent job for you but fell short of fans expectations for whatever reasons and maybe/maybe not to do directly with him.
Coaches can improve with time and effort as can players.
So far he can only be judged on what is happening. 3 games to play, strong challengers for a playoff spot. Team playing entertaining rugby and blooding academy players. All this with a team running a few hundred k under max cap and 20+ new players.
The aspirations of hull and wakefield differ at present. Reaching the playoffs would be a big achievement for Agars team win or lose.
You should draw a line under the Agar thing now though. Has been a year nearly now.

| I think Agar did a good job for us for 6 months 2010 when we were 4th all season, but then we bottled it at home to Leeds on Sky and then were shocking against Hull KR in the play-offs. His season and a half were terrible, and we were really poor last season too.

Although many Wakefield fans were sceptical and disapproving of his appointment as coach, myself included, perhaps his performance at Hull says more about your club than it does about Agar.
Without doubt, the guy has earned the respect of most Wakefield fans and regardless of what happens in the next 3 games, he deserves immense credit for his first season in charge, which has far exceeded expectations and considering the squad turnover (17 players IIRC) our season has been tremendous. The current run of wins against the 4 clubs we have beaten is dreamland stuff, as a Wakefield fan ,you would have struggled to pick 4 teams who you would have prefered to take points off (perhaps Wigan to add a cherry on top of the icing)
Come on Trin !

Washy has played 13 in pretty much every single game and he's been fantasic. Solid, runs good lines, distributes ok and a decent tackler; got on scoreboard a fair bit too.

you're probably right, there were a lot of things wrong at hull during his tenure that were outside his control, thankfully now sorted out. his move to wakey is probably a good result for all parties

| I think its time for we Hull fans to consign Mr. Agar to history. We've all had our moans and groans about him (some of which were probably due as much to the gang he was working for) and he's no longer our problem. He seems to be doing a good job at Wakey and good luck to him and them. I believe its time for everyone to move on.

Indeed, the way some Hull fans have been going on about him this season, you'd think that he had intentionally set out to lead the club to ruin. Like you say, he's our "problem" now, so no need to carry on the Agar hating.
