What an absolutely outstanding achievement from an absolutely outstanding side. The likes of Burrow, McGuire, Peacock, Bailey are surely now immortal in the sport? And THE man himself Kevin Sinfield. He's copped more stick that just about any top player ever, always called overrated, always mocked when chosen for England/GB. Despite the amount of pain he's inflicted on my side, he's just an absolute legend. What more can you say about that man? Probably the best captain ever? Leeds the best side ever? I'm not talking about this 17 specifically, but the legacy of the last 6 or 7 years.

What a final too, so many opportunities for them to wilt. Credit must go to Warrington as well, another champion team, who should be very proud of their achievement this season. They'll be back at OT soon enough.

Cant agree with that,yes they know how to win grand finals and it is a very good achievement, but great team? No,good team spirit who have it in them to win grand finals, some would say a team that finishes 5th 2 years in a row and finish as champions makes a mockery of our game but thems the rules.

Wakey won 7 in a row, they beat cats at home, beat the best team all year in the semi's, then beat the team that denied them the cup. say what u want about Leeds but they ARE the best team come GF time, the senior players that they have, Peacock, Burrow, Sinfield, Mcguire... deserve their name in history,

The greatest team in history? probably not, but the greatest team in SL to date = yes!

Remember we are champions and WCC and got to the cup final. It doesn't make a mockery of SL it's just player management.

Leeds are average from february to august and very good in september, they are without doubt the best grand final team but not a great team

If it happened once, you can say it's making a mockery of Super League. But when they do it 5 times in 6 years you have to acknowledge it as an achievement. The flat cappers who don't like the Grand Final being used to sort the champions from the others need to get up to speed.

In America they call it "Clutch" the abilty to be the BEST when it matters!! they celebrate it more than any other attribute in the States

We play 4 weeks or brutal rugby league at the highest level winning every game and leaving everything on the pitch 4 weeks running, for goodness sake the players could hardly celebrate after the hooter they had played so hard

yet they still have naysayers..... unbelievable

People have short memories Leeds have had league leaders shields plus second and 3rd places finishes during our unparalleled success.

It's simply sour grapes. Look at the amount of games played by Leeds due to their success. Since 04. It's about Player management and peaking at the right time.

Anything other than acknowledgement for Leeds success, plus the clubs ability to manage its playing roster & win the titles is sour grapes.

When it comes to values, the last place of imitation should be America.

He fawns all year over Warrington, even to the expense of his own team, spends his time posting on the Wire board proclaiming that Leeds have no chance against the Wolves. Then as soon as the final whistle is blown, jumps on here and blows smoke rings up the arris of Leeds and Kevin Sinfield.

whats huddersfield got to do with whether this leeds team are the best ever? Im not belittling leeds' achievement im just offering my opinion that they are by no means the best team ever, best team when it matters in september/october but 4 games doesn't make a great team

People will stop going to regular season games. Seriously, Leeds have proved their is no point in having in. None what-so-ever. What a waste of season ticket money to watch 13 friendlies a season.

No. Leeds have been the best from start to finish. That's why they won the WCC, made the cup final and won the Grand Final. I don't like them, but this is comfortably the best team of my lifetime, and I don't imagine there can ever have been many better than them. 5 titles in 6 years is impressive by any standards surely?

My counter argument to that would be...an under cooked aussie team.
They had one tuff game in the semi final of CC and the couldn't back it up in the final.
They massivley under performed in the league campain and scraped fifth, and then decided it was time to turn it on.

Leeds have lost 22 league games in the past 2 seasons. Thats almost a season's worth of losses. Simply cannot be a great team. Saints won 4 leagues in a row(05, 06, 07, 0icon_cool.gif and didn't get anywhere near this kind of recognition. In fact i bet in Saints 4 in a row of finishing top, they lost less league games than this Leeds team that have won back-to-back championships. Crazy. Yet people call this Leeds team great. Some people cannot see beyond the Sky Sports propaganda machine.
